Maybe this should have gone in trip reports but I just wanted to give a plug to Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City. We stayed there this weekend and the place was great. It was super clean everywhere and the resturants were good too. Our kids loved the water park but the only downfall was its kind of small with not enough to do to keep them interested all weekend. It would be a great place to spend a night and TC is a nice town.
Another GWL fan here! We have stayed at GWL TC twice now and absolutely LOVE it. Everybody there is so nice and helpful - it reminds me of Disney! My husband has family in TC, so we spend a week there every summer. Last year we spent 2 nights at GWL and 5 nights at a hotel on the beach, but this year we decided to just spend the whole week at GWL. We didn't spend all day every day at the waterpark (in fact, some days we didn't go to the waterpark at all) but we also enjoyed the mini golf, MagiQuest, Cub Club (arts and crafts) and the arcade. We stayed in a 2-story suite (very roomy!) and felt the price was very reasonable compared to the hotels on the beach.
