Question Hotels/hotspots on I-80 in PA or OH

Planning a road trip at the end of June from NY to Chicago. We're looking stop in western PA / eastern OH for a night before heading to the Kalahari in Sandusky. Anyone familiar with this area have any suggestions? On a side note, thought this trip would be a good way to get my mind off our Oct WDW trip! I so don't want to wish the summer away, esp after the snow filled winter we had
TIA

We used to drive from CT to Cleveland a lot -- and there's a big part of PA that doesn't have much in the way of hotels. We got stuck on it once and drove farther than was safe before finding a spot. I'll have to dig out a map and figure out our standard stopping place.
