Has anyone ever been to Disney's HH resort in March?
If so, what's it like in terms of weather, activities and number of guests?
Is the pool heated?
Thanks!
Well, I live in Savannah which is just a tiny bit south of Hilton Head. I've never been to the Disney resort there, but I can tell you what the weather is usually like. In a word: anything. LOL! Sorry. Usually, it is still a little bit chilly at that time of year (well, chilly to me). Highs in the low-mid 70s, low humidity, lows in the 50s. However, in 2011, we had a relatively cold March (I remember absolutely freezing outside the night after St. Patrick's Day) and in 2012 we had a very warm March (our azaleas, which usually bloom in mid-late March bloomed in mid February instead!). So it's really up in the air. While I do like it a little warmer, March is usually when most people think this area has the best weather. It is usually a really beautiful time because a lot of the flowers bloom then. One word of warning though - if you are flying into Savannah/HH airport, be prepared for CROWDS. Savannah has the second largest St Patrick's Day celebration in the country.
We find it too cold for swimming in March most of the time but the hot tub at our resort (not Disney) gets lots of use. The island is beautiful at that time of year and outdoor activities like tennis, golf, or fishing are good.
First, Ashli, Loooooove the Princess Photo!
The weather sounds perfect for me (a New York City-ite), as I don't generally swim at the beach (although I like to walk along it). Our azaleas also bloomed a month early in 2012, also, but in April rather than in May.
Hidden Mickeys: no doubt Disney HH has its hot tubs as well; if the pool is also heated, then I'm in!
Thanks for your responses.

I also prefer walking along the beach as opposed to swimming in the ocean. March should have great weather for beach-walking.
Ashli,
Actually, I'll be getting in late to Savannah on the 16th, and will stay at a hotel off Rte 95 until the 17th, when I'll be ensconced in the resort.
I do plan on visiting Savannah, so will do that a day or two after the 17th.
Thanks for the heads-up.
