I know it's not very exciting, but it's a while since we've been - December 2001 in fact. We're off to France for the day later this month with my parents via the tunnel. It should allow us to have a nice meal in Calais and stock up on some French cheese and cheap wine and spirits! Not the same as France in Epcot, but it is the real thing..!

Can we just say... jealous?!
Here's hoping you enjoy your day trip. If I am lucky I may get to take a trip to the otherside of town sometime this month. LOL! Just teasing.
Seriously though, enjoy your trip and your shopping.
Michelle
Yes, we're going through the Chunnel. I wouldn't travel any other way now. The last time I took the boat to France, I was very sea sick.. that's the only thing which worries me about a Disney cruise.

Wow, am I jealous! In which province is Calais? Many years ago, at the age of 16, I travelled to France. Loved the little town of Honfleur and all of Normandy and Brittany.(sp?) Each province has its own character. Have fun.

<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Arial">I don't think there is any comparison between a ferry crossing the channel and a cruise ship in the Caribbean. They have great stabilizers that eliminate a lot (but not all) of the motion of the ocean.
I had the same problem you did the last time I took a ferry across. After that I paid the extra money for the hovercraft each time (that was pre-Chunnel). I have had no problems on cruise ships, even through somewhat stormy seas.
