atlantic beach We are from California and Disneyland is one of our family's favorite places in the world. Now we have the opportunity to go to WDW in October with some close friends of ours. We have reservations at the All Stars. We will be arriving at MCO airport one full day before our 8 days at the world. Since we have only seen the Pacific Ocean, we would like to spend one night on the beach of the Atlantic Ocean! Does anyone have any ideas about a fairly close beach town or city to Orlando Airport? Our flight is arriving about 10 a.m. and we will be renting a car. We will drive to a beach town, stay in a hotel, and the next morning leave early so we can drive to WDW and start our day there. We are so excited! We are pretty clueless about where to stay our first night. Any suggestions?

Re: atlantic beach Welcome tink95401! Well for starters Daytona (Beach) is probably the closest. It's about an hour away from MCO. What type of lodging are you looking for? Elaine

Re: atlantic beach We are a family of four, our son is 11 and our daugter is 8. We are looking for clean, affordable lodging that is on the beach. You mentioned Daytona Beach, have you heard anything about Cocoa Beach?

Re: atlantic beach Cocoa Beach is terrific- the beach of choice for me and my buds in HS - we lived in Kissimmee then and it took about an hour or slightly more to get there.
