| Help~ Bahamas My co-worker's son is getting married in the Bahamas & when I asked my co-worker if she was going she said No, it was too expensive so she's going to settle on just attending his reception here.. I was flabbergated & asked if I could find some money saving tips would she go & without hesitation she said Yes.. so I need all of your help.. Do you know of a really cheap way for her & her DH & DD to get to the Bahamas???? She said that airfare & hotel alone she was quoted a price of $3000.. for just a weekend.. seems high to me.. TIA for any help or suggestions you might have!! |

[/ QUOTE ] What hotel was that!?!I've seen airfare on a regular basis for about $400 r/t, and there must be a hotel cheaper than that! Do you know which Island they will be on? Nassau/Paradise Island or Grand Bahama? Location will make a difference. Also, what airport does she want to fly out of? Let me look online and see what I can find... |

| Re: Help~ Bahamas I just did a quick search on Expedia, and got air + hotel packages for 2 adults, from Pittsburg to Nassau on a weekend in may (Fri to Monday - I didn't know the dates) for anywhere from $450 to $1000 per person! The British Colonial Hilton (beautiful!) in Nassau with airfare is $548 / person...just make sure you check out where each hotel is located before booking it. There are some not so nice areas of nassau. All of paradise island (a.k.a. New Providence Island) is beautiful. I've never been to Grand Bahama Island, so I can't help with hotels there. Good luck! I hope she gets there! |
