Boggy Creek Airboat Rides

We're thinking of doing one of the Airboat rides and the Boggy Creek ones look like they're quite close to Disney. Has anyone done this before - if so, what was it like?

Re: Boggy Creek Airboat Rides

I did these in 1999. Never saw any animals the entire time we were out there (almost an hour). I was rather disappointed. It was fun though cruising along on those airboats! There were a ton of airboats out that day and the area isn't very big that you can go out on. If I were to go again, I'd go with one of those companies that take you out into the swamps (the airboats they drive are much faster and go out into better areas--more gators!). Maybe things have changed though since 1999, and more gators and such can be seen.

Boggy Creek Airboat Rides

We have!! We have!! Two years ago May we went. I had read about what a great time debe had when she went either earlier in the year or the prior fall. The airboats are <<<<VERY LOUD>>>> but they give you a "headset" to protect your ears. We went in the morning and actually saw several gators both adults and babies. They say the best time is at night; but that's also more expensive.

I believe we also found a discount coupon on their website as well.
