Re: Character meals at Universal and IOA?

I don't remember US or IOA (the parks) having character meals . . . there is something at the Royal Pacific Resort (Islands Dining Room ) and the Hrad Rock Hotel that has some sort of Character Dining on select occasions. Other than that, I don't recall Universal doing anything like that . . . we looked into that in December (which was our last trip there) and were not able to find anything about that, other than the thing at the hotels.

Universal does have character meals at the resorts. When we stayed at the Hard Rock they had advertisements up everywhere about a character breakfast with Woody Woodpecker and friends.

Re: Character meals at Universal and IOA?

Just in case someone is planning a Universal trip, I found this info on their website. I don't remember this character meal being there, so this may be fairly new

Have breakfast at Islands of Adventure with Spider-ManŽ and the Cat in the Hat each Thursday through Sunday from park opening to 10:30 a.m. at Confisco Grille.

The breakfast is $15.95 for Adults and $9.95 for children

Doesn't surprise me that Character Meals have popped up at US/IOA. $$$ talks. Look how much WDW is making off the concept.

Breakfast with Spiderman...interesting.

Re: Character meals at Universal and IOA?

I have tried to call Universal for days now to make a reservation for the breakfast with Spiderman, but all I keep getting is a recording telling me tl call back during normal business hours (which I am doing already). Anybody have a solution?

Re: Character meals at Universal and IOA?

Have you tried the following numbers?

(888) 322-5541 or (800) 837-2273

I use these and get to human voice pretty quickly. Hope this helps!

Thanks, I will try those numbers today after I get back from taking my son to the doctor for an ear infection. At least it happened now and now on the way to Florida!

Re: Character meals at Universal and IOA?

Tried those numbers and they didn't work, but I was able to get the number direct for the restaurant for the Character breakfast (Spiderman, The Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2 and some other super hero). Anyway, the number is: 407-224-4404 (Confisco Grille). Breakfast is Friday, Saturday and Sunday only with reservations taken 60 days in advance. I will lete you know how it is in September after we get back from our trip!

Re: Character meals at Universal and IOA?

I just tried both numbers and they worked fine. Remember to dial "1" before them. After the automated system answers, select option 1 and the operator who answers will transfer you to make dining reservations.
