Hey Everyone! My sisters and I are taking my mother to New York City on Wednesday to see the Producers for a 2:00 matinee and then we want to take her out to dinner afterward but I don't know anything about New York restaurants. Can anyone give me some recommendations of a good restaurant in the Broadway area. The theatre is located at 246 W. 44th Street! We mostly like either Italian food, steak or pizza (one of my sisters if very picky and will only eat these types of food)!! Nothing ridiculously expensive but moderate to mildly expensive is ok!! Thanks!!!

PS I have heard that John's Pizza at Times Square has the best pizza around - is that true? If so, we would seriously consider this, pizza is my Mom's favorite!!

The wonderful thing about NYC is that on your way to Broadway, you will see LOTS and LOTS of restaurants. There is Restaurant Row, which I believe is 47th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue. They have lots of restaurants there.

Most of them you don't need to make reservations. Pretty much walk in. They cater to the Broadway crowd, and most of them are not that expensive.

Go to Ellens' Stardust Diner, I reccomend this place to everyone and they ALL love it! It's like a 50's diner with memorabilia from Elvis, Merilyn Monroe, Lucy, etc. they play clips musical on a large screen in the middle of the restaurant - Grease, Singin' in the Rain, West Side Story, Yankee Doodle Dandy, etc. Also, all the waitors were ore are on Broadway and sing as they deliver the food.
