| Re: An exciting South African expedition ~ update 6/13 Day 2 TodayI woke up at 7:00 in the morning. Then we went to the house and had breakfast. For breakfast we had oatmeal, eggs, toast, and bacon or sausage. Then we went out and Neil showed us all the animals and trees. Then I shot at a red hartebeest, and missed. Later, we set up an ambush for some springbok. When we were about to get off the truck, we saw some bat-eared fox. When we were sitting behind a termite mound, we saw some springbok, but they wouldn't stop running so I couldn't shoot. Then with the binoculars, we saw that Jeff had got something. When we got on the truck and went over there we saw that he had gotten a blue wildebeest. Then we left it there for the other guys to come pick it up. Then we went back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch we saw some gemsbok. I was going to shoot one but the blue wildebeest were much closer to us, so I shot one. I didn't kill it. I wounded it though. I broke it's left front leg. Then the herd kicked him out because he was to slow. Then, 45-50 minutes later, we found him and I shot him again. This time he dropped. Then we took close to 50 billion pictures. Then the guys came and picked him up. When we got ot the lodge, we ate dinner. Then we went bed. That's what I did today. My wildebeest: ![]() ![]() Me and the ranch owner, Neil: ![]() |
