Tom Jones....Passporter Style... the report! Updated 7/24

Well about 3 weeks ago the Casino I work for announced that they were going to offer Employee Discounted Tickets for Tom Jones who was going to perform on July 2nd and a few other shows. None of them seemed interesting except for Tom Jones. Mainly because of the whole connection to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. (come on who here remembers the Carlton Dance??)

No one i work with wanted to go with me to see him and my family are Elmer Fudds when it comes to going out so If I went I would have to go alone Well I was talking to Dyankj130 and had this bright idea

I sent Dyan a Private Message that went like this "what is your thoughts...on seeing Tom Jones on 7/2??" She quickly replied that she was IN! So off I went to buy some tickets the Girl was and i was as she handed me the golden tickets! It was a night out with someone other then my family and if anything we could do the Carlton Dance and act like we didn't know any better!

So the 3 weeks went by so slow but everyday we to each other about what we wanted to eat for dinner
and how much fun we were going to have and how to get to the casino. but we would always sign it "its not unusual"

I was talking to Dyan one night and we were discussing this comedian act who talks about going to a concert in the 60's and passing a bottle around and then going to the same concert in the 90's and now the people are passing a thermos full of metamucil. Well Dyan thought that was hilarious so she put that as her countdown

Finally it was the night. The plan was to meet for Dinner and we would go to Mystic and find some good Mexican but the traffic today was horrible so i made the executive decision not to drive once we parked and just eat at the casino.

I parked my car and went to find Dyan but she wasn't there yet so i called her and gave her directions to the parking garage as she was having trouble finding it. So with her parked she met me and gave me a gift for when i move to Florida a Boston Red Sox Visor! Dyan! it!

I decided that I would put the bag in the car that way there wouldn't be a problem with my work thinking i took a gift from a patron so we go back to my car and i put the bag in the car but wear the visor I'm like a kid i want to use it, wear it, or play with it as soon as I open the gifts i get!

Well unfortunately I have been avoiding going to my car Dealership (have issues with the owner) to get my recall on my rear doors fixed since i don't use them NORMALLY i figured no worry about waiting a while. Well tonight I decide to use the back door and of course it breaks! Won't close, and what do i do??? call home! My father starts yelling at me then my mother as to why i could be that dumb yeah dad I planned on my car door breaking before going to get fixed I'm a girl i know like how to drive it now how to fix it!

Well i leave it open but against the car enough that it looks closed and my parents will drive to the casino and fix it for me enough to drive it home so i can go to the concert !

We head into the casino and decide to eat at a restaurant called the Cove! We walk over and wait about 10 minutes for our table to clear so we chat in line about Red Sox baseball, the casino, my hatred for the casino things in general. Our table finally is cleaned and we are seated and Anna is our Server this evening. She was funny we chatted about Dessert first and the fact that the sundae i had my face fixed for was no longer on the menu! ok Ben & Jerry's after Dinner it is! Doesn't take much to make me happy

We look over the menu and decide on splitting some hot wings and we both get the chicken Ceaser Salad! The food was absolutely Delicious!

Dyan was really nice and bought me Dinner Dyan! but i bought her ice cream and the tickets so it really did even out.

We left the restaurant and peeked into Sun Shoes and laughed at how outrageously high the shoes costs and then looked at Yankee Candle and a trip to the Flagship store is now in the works!

We stopped at the Sculpture they have that was done by Dale Chihuly of a water splash. Dale also designed the sculptured chandeliers on the Disney Magic and Wonder that hang in the atriums!

Then the water fall that was in front of it looked like the WL water fall! Disney was all around us!

Then we went to the Odysea store and saw Dory swimming around as they have live fish in large tanks. They have 3 small grey sharks (not sure what species) in the back tank so we went to look and they have a Tinkerbell and a Bruce (from finding Nemo) wall hanging right by the tank so we have snapped about 10 pictures now of things that remind us of Disney

A stop at the ladies rooms we discover Cyber Quest who has a walk way that lights up like the old Journey into your imagination walkways with fiberoptics. So more and off we went.

We headed to Ben & Jerry's and both got waffle cones with ice cream i had Dublin Mudslide and Dyan had New York Super Fudge. That looked good too!

I do have to say Thank you to Jeffery (Dyan's Husband) for taking the time to babysit their son for the evening so that Dyan and I could have this Girl's night out.

We headed into the concert and found our seats they weren't close but not horrible and it was a blast watching the concert.

Now Rachel and Wally (simbarel and her DH) i'm sorry you couldn't join us but at least you missed what happened and didn't have to see it!

Throughout the concert women tossed their private garments onto the stage and well almost at the end we ended up with a Male Streaker who proceeded to shake his groove thing while missing his groove things pants, shirt and well everything else he should wear! Well security was called and he was escorted off property!

The show lasted about 2 hours and then we went home. My car is heading to the shop and hopefully Dyan will come along to add her views on things.

So my thoughts:

Good Concert (music wise)
Odd happenings before hand
saw things I rather not have seen at a Concert

But Had a great time with a passporter and hopefully we can find time to get a group trip to the Yankee Candle store soon!

Thanks for listening

We let out a sigh when we knew we couldn't be there with you guys, Amy. I think it's hilarious that there were so many undergarment antics (or lack thereof!) and honestly sorry we missed it. Thanks for the report, now you can say you've seen Tom Jones!!!! That's pretty .

I can't believe Tom Jones still gets the undergarments! Women have been doing that for years!
