| Cheryl - When we were in London we saw a group of children gathered around a street performer. My DS started to take a picture of the performer that would have had the children in it and we were told by someone that you were not allowed to take picture of children in England without their parents permission. I found that very interesting.

| You're making me jealous with these photos! Of all the places to see, London remains high on my list. How nice to see green grass-ours is covered in snow!

| Saturday 3 February – part three: “the cathedral they charge you £9 to see”! We carried on walking through the park, although it did prove hard walking. The soup had been more filling than we had imagined. We finally got to the long water and found the Peter Pan statue, which was what we came to look at. It’s a lovely thing and well worth finding. In fact, Kensington Gardens is worth experiencing if it’s a nice day. It’s a lovely park with a fair bit to see and do, but be warned, it’s not small, in fact it’s one of the largest green spaces in London. The Peter Pan statue

| The Fountains at the Long Water We finally got back to the main road and caught the Tube from Ladbroke Grove right through to St. Paul’s. The train driver was quite amusing. As well as the usual announcements about what other lines you can catch at which station, when we got to St. Paul’s, he told us this was the stop for the cathedral that they charge you £9 to see. The way he said it, you got the feeling that he didn’t approve of the charge and having gone into the Notre Dame free of charge a couple of weeks earlier, you can’t help but think that he’s got a point.

| As we walked there, we walked through the Stock Exchange, now an office and retail complex. It made for some interesting old and new views: The story with St. Paul’s is very similar to the one about the Notre Dame. This has also been under renovation for a number of years (in fact some parts of it still are) and I always said that we would go in once it was done and now it pretty much is.
