Yes, they're both still there.. I'm not a fan of Noah's Ark so we didn't ride but Shelby went on the Jack Rabbit with no questions this year ( A first for her)

My DH and I are both from PA and DH worked at Kennywood for about five summers while he was in college (before we met). He used to work at the games in the Penny Arcade. While we were dating, we went back to visit his parents, NS he took me to Kennywood for the day. Certainly no Disney, but we really had a great time. I agree that, if you are visiting Kennywood and eat only one thing, it must be Patch Fries. Also, a la Disney, Kennywood has a water park, Sandcastle, down the road from it.

Just catching up on TR's Ann. Sounds like you had quite a full day. I was hoping you'd post a picture of The Whip. I'm not a big amusement park fan (WDW is differerent! ) I have semi-fond/semi-traumatic memories of my father making me ride The Whip at our local little park when I was a kid. My Mom and I both hated it, but once a summer, he'd make us ride. I just remember hanging on and screaming for dear life. Good times! Our park is gone now, but I'd heard that Kennywood had The Whip. Someday, I should get Dad and go there and ride For Old Time's Sake.

Thanks for sharing your day with us!

LOL about the whip & hanging on screaming The best part is putting your hands in the air & getting 'that' feeling in your tummy. When I was little that was probably the only ride I would ride..

I'm going back to Kennywood tomorrow to see Jamie march in the parade with his band & I MUST ride the whip this time.. I'll definitely get a pic for you. We're also taking the video camera so if I ever figure out the video card thingy I'll post a video on you tube..
