| Yikes! What a fiasco getting home, but I am so glad the engine broke BEFORE you took off! I'm with you on the fear of crashing and I am so happy that you made it home safely! Glad the hotel was able to locate your dirty laundry. Can't wait for your final thoughts and the photos!!!

| What a nightmare journey home, after such a great vacation. My heart really went out to you, as I read all the traumas you had to suffer on the way back.  Thank goodness you made it safe in the end.

| Final Thoughts! We had a great trip, the hot weather, the sun, the sights were all amazing, the games were a lot of fun, and while we had a few bumps in the road what trip doesn't have those! Those bumps make great storylines in Trip reports! Plus they make you appreciate the good things that happen! The Hotel was in a great location, the view, the amenities were great, it did have signs of age but the hotel does work hard to make sure things are taken care of, it was clean, it was spacious, and it was a hotel we would and will stay at again for sure! The view we had was amazing and the pool was outside our window but you rarely heard a peep and we kept the doors open to the porch! I will say that I think that 4 days was not long enough to enjoy this, and we will have to do a week's stay next time! The food well we did mostly chain restaurants and fast food but they were scrumptious to us! I know that if I had steak n Shake and Sonic all the time it wouldn't be as special but for a weekend or week long trip a few times is fine but we did add a few sit down meals which was a nice break up. The games were great, we had a lot of fun, and it was special being able to see them play there, and not at fenway, but the weirdest thing was running into my Manager at the game. That was just not something I had thought about happening! The first game was fun but the 2nd game was the best, i think it was the seats, the weather (no rain) and the fact that we saw a lot of runs come in!  Sanibel and Captiva Island was absolutely wonderful and our meal at The Bubble Room was a blast. But the shells, and the views, and the water were amazing something I will never forget! Our flights left little to be desired but I will say the staff at US Airways were always very nice, and it was nice having assigned seats but we didn't like being so far back or the mechanical issues! Would we fly US Airways again I would say Maybe if the price is right but we will go where we save the most money! Overall an AWESOME trip and we were grateful that we were given this opportunity! |  the photos!! I kept looking for Bronson!  He seems to be very elusive this off season. My dad has been to at least 5 games in Sarasota and each time he wasn't able to find him.  :sigh: The sunset photos are absolutely gorgeous and I know I've said this already, but you really need to enlarge some of them to hang on the wall!! I think the final photo sums up your trip very nicely! Can't wait for the next Adventure!!
