| Ever thought about riding a bike down Hale'akala on Maui? Neat, riding down from 10,000 feet with only about 100 yards of pedaling. Oops, the National Park Service closed the park to these and now you have to start just below the entrance at about 6500 feet. I will shortly be posting pictures on my personal website. Fiberglass splint on the right hand (coming off tomorrow, after two weeks), brace on the left. Also the x-rays. 4 1/2 hours in the Maui Memorial Medical Center ER is not a good way to spend part of your vacation. And, this happening on our second day, I didn't dive or swim. Not one of my happier vacations.

| Sorry to hear about the mishap. Sunrise on Mt Halekala is an inspiring moment, DW and I did it on our honeymoon.

| Hope you are better soon! Dh and I did the bike ride down Haleakula on our honeymoon and it was one of the best things we did. Can't wait to do it again when and if we ever go back!

| Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm back to 100%. However, in keeping with I hope doesn't become a habit, I won't discuss what happened to my back the day after class this summer or why I got to ride in an ambulance to South Austin Hospital or why I took valium and vicodin for a week. But I'm back in school again this semester and feeling great.
