We got a call from the movers who said since our Relocubes won't get there until around 3pm Monday that they will be there around 8 am Tuesday to start unloading.

How dare they alter your schedule! (You never change you plans )

So Last night it felt like we were the three stooges, we have that Fabulous whirlpool tub and we got it filled to the fill line, and mom got into it turned on the jets and one of them was malfunctioning. The water was shooting out of the tub, through the cut out in the wall and soaked all 6 pillows, the sheets, the duvet, the alarm clock, the phone and most of the rug. So we spent 30 mins trying to fix the jet ourselves I ended up soaking wet as she started screaming when it first happened i ran in to see what was wrong and I like a stooge brother just stood there trying to catch the water

So we figured out how to turn the jets all off and we called engineering and housekeeping who were here practically as soon as we hung up the phone. They fixed the tub, and remade the whole bed and took care of cleaning it all up. Once it was fixed that was a very nice relaxing experience but wow we felt like 3 stooges!

I will take photos of the suite later today, but won't be able to upload them until we get settled in the apartment as my cords are packed away.

This hotel is sooooo nice, and the staff has been amazing. So if you ever want to stay close to seaworld and disney this is a great location We found a back way from DTD to here and its no more then 15 minutes from DTD!

We were asleep though by 8:30 last night so we were up around 6:30 this morning. We made some coffee and will grab McDonald's on the way to the apartment.

We will head over around 9am for the lease signing! Whoo Hoo!

Have been desperately trying to catch up on the boards since our trip and TODAY I find this! I drive by Lorton every darn day! OH MY! I could have stopped in and said Hi to you all!
We are thinking auto train for our trip next year. Do you recommend it? How about the car? Did they take care of it ok? Sulley is worried about damage. Men and their toys!

Can't wait to hear all about the apartment! The pictures you posted of those cottages are soooo cute! Can't wait to know what color you got!!!

Glad to hear the trip went well, except for the lack of sleep and strange meal partners. And how nice that your room was ready when you arrived! Throw in a nice meal and some funny stories and it makes for some great updates. Hope all the paperwork didn't take too long. Hurry back with some pictures!

Im so glad you made it ok you are so brave to up and move like that I want to do it so bad I'm just so scared I lived in Orlando for a while where I went to travel school and loved it and my hubby really wants to move down there he wants to go to Tampa where his family is. But I'm worried I will miss my hometown. Good luck and I hope you find a great new job it shouldnt be a prob down there ....

We are now OFFICIALLY Florida Residents!!!!!! We left the hotel about 10am after making a stop at the Clubhouse to print out a form we needed. Then we stopped at McDonald's for Breakfast.

Once we were full of some decent food, we headed over to the apartments and waited a few minutes as there was only one person working and there was another person there signing a lease so we waited and had some coffee and water while we waited.

Pretty soon we were brought in and Tia the person working in the office got us going on the paperwork and a few initials and signature's later we were given our gate keys, our pool passes, and our house keys!!!!!!

The color of our apartment is........ PINK!!!

We were OFFICIAL and we only had to get 2 of the gate keys fixed so we were then off again towards our apartment. We parked in front and went in to look at it before bringing anything in to it yet. We have a very pretty courtyard view, we aren't close to the road so it will be quiet and it smelled freshly painted so they definitely had gotten things ready for us to move in!

We did find a dead bug which sent me running back out of the apartment until my grandmother got rid of it. Mom ran out right behind me so she wasn't going to be much help We figure when they were moving things out after the last tenat it got caught inside and when they sprayed for bugs it died and well now its gone.

They said they'd be over Wednesday to spray again and every wednesday for us and its free so we are good with that. We have to get used to the bugs, lizards and other wildlife but Mom will have to be the brave one as I will be running out of there or anywhere if i see bugs LOL

We were super excited and brought in the things from the car and then headed out and over to the Wal-Mart which is on Osceola Parkway and boy that place was a very busy place but it was saturday afternoon so understandable.

We picked up what we needed for the hotel, for dinners and breakfast and a few things for the apartment. Then once we were done shopping we headed back to the apartment, unloaded what went there and then we returned to the hotel.

We unloaded the car and now we are just watching Iron Chef America on Food network and relaxing.

Dinner is Hotdogs cut and pasta with red tomato sauce and we will head to the pool tonight.

Tomorrow is a relaxing day and we will be heading to the beach as long as the weather cooperates, we will have dinner there and we will be waving to the Wonder as it sails away!

Until the next update my friends! I promise I will post photos once we get into the apartment and set up.

Amy, I just found this thread. I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU. I remember a few years ago when you first started mentioning this. You did it! I was going through my personal life trauma at the time. I'm so glad you are happy! Good luck with Orlando. I have told my wife that we are moving there in 18 years. As soon as Audrey is in college, we're gone!

Pink! Wonderful color! Bugs...yeah, that is a drawback about life in the south....ONE of you will have to be brave...or make friends with a not so squeamish neighbor!
