Congratulations on the move Amy!! I'm glad to hear you made it down safely. It sounds like everything is coming together quite nicely and it's great that you have a couple of days to relax before you have to start unpacking everything! I can't wait to see the pictures.

I'm just catching up, Amy. Glad you made it without too much wear and tear. Too funny about the water jets and the bug. Before long you'll be a pro at handling the bugs.

Sort of OT but DH lived in Biloxi MS years ago and he said that the bugs were He said that they couldn't keep food in cardboard boxes and had to throw away newspapers immediately to keep the bugs from invading. Is FL like that?

Great move. Sounds like everything is going according to your normal. Changes, strange creatures, etc. I see that you had registered for Mousefest. I am looking forward to meeting you after reading your TRs for since last year. Good luck with the new apartment.

Congratulatioins!! You are finally Florida residents. I would so love to move down south, but am really chicken to do it alone, especially with all my family up here. Maybe in about 10 years when I can finally retire from UPS. Can't wait to see pics. Hope to see you in November. Once again congrats!!

Amy, I just got caught up with this TR. I am so happy for you and your mom to be official Florida residents, but I miss my friend the CT resident. I hope that I will be able to catch up with you the next time I travel to WDW. I can't wait to see pictures of your new home.

Amy - Glad to hear they're taking good care of you at HGVC. My DMom and DDad are owneres there. I haven't stayed there yet. I have a hard time staying anywhere but at WDW when I'm in Orlando. But one of these days I'll have to try it and see what else Orlando has to offer. I can't wait to see pictures of your new home. Hope the rest of the move goes smoothly.

Wow what a trip! Being from Maine, DH and I are looking for someplace In the middle section of Fl. We're hoping to move in the next 2-3 years. Our youngest is a Sophomore and desperatly just wants to graduate here. I'm trying to be patient for him... I don't think We'll move to Orlando though, I would want to be at WDW ALL the time! But maybe a bit west of it! I can't wait to see pictures. Hope the rest goes smoothly too!!! Enjoy your new home!!

So Last night Saturday night, The whole pool thing never happened instead I got to go to my first passporter meet!!!!! I drove myself over to DTD and didn't need to use the GPS unit!!!! I did NOT get lost

I did have a very hard time finding parking, Pleasure Island was full, the lines were horrible busiest I have ever seen it. Everyone is going to get one last time in and I think Disney will realize the mistake they are making by closing it but that was making parking very hard. I started in the Marketplace and that was full, then I drove through the lot closest to Mcdonalds and the motion side of pleasure Island and was just about to head over to West Side but just as i was pulling up to an exit a car backed out and i swooped in and parked close to McDonalds.

The passporters were going to meet me by the christmas shoppe so I made my way over through the HUGE crowds again never seen DTD this busy EVER! I waited by the water fountain play area and soon some passporter pals showed up!

Who you ask??? Well it was none other then Janine (FanofMickey), Sheila (wheatonwalker) and Dawn (DawnDenise) who were going to go shopping together, so I joined them!

We walked through the DTD area and went into Team Mickey and chatted while we browsed, then we hit WOD and Dawn will have to share what she was given! Then we stopped at Basin so I could get more bath bombs.

They decided not to do Pleasure Island as planned the crowds were that bad so I offered them a ride back to their resorts. So we loaded up Amy's Taxi and I dropped Janine and Sheila at Coronado Springs and then I took Dawn back to Caribbean Beach.

I had such a great time with Janine, Sheila and Dawn and I was so glad to have my first passporter meet as a Florida Resident!

I drove back to our hotel again with out a GPS unit and I did NOT get lost! It was so fast and easy, SR536 straight to International Drive, left on ID, straight to the corner where it says Discovery Cove left, turn left and then left onto the hotel's road. This place is very easy to get to so its definitely one I'd recommend.

I found a parking space, headed upstairs and went to bed.

Till later my friends!
