So Today is friday 8/29 and I have around 21 days to go before moving INTO the apartment but its really like 18 days until we start the trek down there to move in!

So today I am at my grandma's and we are heading out to get some triptiks from AAA so that we have a paper set of directions as well as the GPS until as we all know how directionally challenged I am!

I got NO Packing done yesterday and I doubt any today but mom is gonna work on some this weekend and then once I am done at my job on the 7th the pod should be there so i can buckle down and do it!

But as Deb mentioned yeah i'll be running around on the 16th trying to get it all done for sure!

So that is today's update!

I'm sure once the pod arrives you will have more incentive to pack. Then it will seem more real and exciting. Hope you have a productive weekend!

Oh, and I forgot to mention how the "moving right along" title makes me think of the Muppets movie, I can't remember which one, but isn't that one of the songs they sing? I really need to go back and watch all those again.

Yep its the Muppet Movie! Thats where I got the title from! Other then Disney I tend to enjoy the Muppets a lot!

Ok So Since Don was a little bit ummm up front about missing the food and drink I will supply at least one drink a week (more then that you will end up so tipsy you won't know what your reading )

So For this week's adventures, never ending Orange Martini's!


So when we went to Florida we did look at a few Apartments on our 06 trip that we liked but i felt were too small one was in World Gateway which if you have driven off property is about 1/2 mile from the Sheraton Vistana, at the intersection of SR 535 and SR 536. The traffic was a concern but the fact that it was right outside the gates of WDW we kept it on the maybe list.

Then another one from 06 was owned by the same company as the 1st one but located of of SR 417 in the Hunter's Creek area. It was nice but small but it was one to keep on the list. We really had heard a lot about Hunter's Creek and wanted to try and get in there if we could. So this would fit the bill, but the space was a concern.

Then in May 2008 we started our search in Davenport, it was not too far from WDW, but was more country if there is such a thing in Central Florida. The apartment was an ok size but something just didn't sit well with how they worked the rental agreements so we agreed that one was NOT For us! Plus the apartment felt paper thin wall wise so we were sure it wasn't going to work.

Then our 2nd day we got up and headed over to Hunter's Creek, we saw two complexes but the 1st one was THE ONE we wanted as our top choice. They look like individual homes, painted cute bright colors, great storage in the apartment, and the staff was the nicest we met!

So we stopped looking we were worn out and put our choices in Order of how we would apply to get in.

1. The Cottage looking ones
2. The Hunter's Creek apartments right on a Golf Course
3. Hunter's Creek apartments by Camden Living (from 06 trip)

If we didn't get into the Hunter's Creek area we were going to try Clermont Florida with a complex we found online that was just opened and our back up there was one we saw the outside of but due to renovations no models were open.

So we really were hoping for the first choice! We applied and we got word early last week we were accepted!!!! SWEEEEEEEEEEET we get Hunter's Creek, we get the cutest little apartments, and the best staff (so far)

So here are some photos of the outside (i'll take photos of the inside of our ACTUAL apartment when we move in) and photos I took of the model!











It comes with Surround sound!


Those are my shoes I didn't want to get the floors ruined they had just washed the rugs and you could see all the marks from the vacuum (sp?)


The Bedroom set ups can differ based on the location of the unit but we have 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and 2 walk in closets.

I will share more photos once we move in and have things decorated but this gives you a taste!

I have to get some more packing done but right now I am just going to do it in small bites. I have to get through this week at work then I will focus more on it!

Those are the apartments I had hoped you would choose. I love the cottages adn the grounds look so nice and really well maintained/landscaped. Congrats and good luck w/ packing.
