| I agree! Unpacking would put you behind in your packing.... hmmmm??? And besides, since you have one more bag packed than you were counting, then you have been more productive than you thought you were.... ???

| I'm not a procrastinator in life--with the exception of unpacking a suitcase! Then it will take a month to do that simple task.

| Oh, Amy Too funny that you tried to go to work, at least that was a nice change of pace not to worry about that for a while. And why not just ship yourself down to Florida - sounds good to me. I was so scared you were going to say that you were going to have a garage sale or put some stuff on ebay. Good for you to keep it all, those things are good memories for you. Just throw everything in some boxes and sort it all out sometime later. As long as it gets there, right? Good luck deciding train v. driving, and deciding how to get Grandma to her flight.

| Amy, I am happy for you, but I can't believe you're leaving so soon. I will miss you, my soon to be ex-CT friend.

| Update 9/8 Some Decisions and a few things received! So today's update brings us some decisions and that we have received a few things! Well first what did we receive??? Our AAA Triptiks We have 2 sets, 1 for taking the autotrain, and 1 for driving straight through. Just in case we change our minds from our (decision upcoming) choice as of today. Today I spent 2 hours at the car dealership getting my headlight replaced, my taillight replaced, and my brakelights replaced as they all were dying 1 by 1. It was time! I also got my oil changed, and the rubber that is in the door jam starting falling out after my father caught it with his belt or something how he did that I have no idea but they glued it back in for me. So $133 later, and sucker stamp on my forehead as I know if I knew how to fix those things myself it would have been less then a $100 to do all that. But I don't so I had to pay it. It also helped me feel better about our big decision.... We are driving all the way to Florida! After a few big outlays for cash and the fact that I am extremely cheap I don't feel shelling out $300-$400 more for the train is worth it for us to take the train. So we will leave around 1am on the 18th and should get into Orlando on the 19th sometime late evening. So our route will take us down I 95 mainly, and we are hoping to make South Carolina, but if we are too tired then we are going to stop in Lumberton, NC or near there. We have tour books, and 2 blackberry's so I am sure both of those we can find somewhere to sleep for a few hours. So our timeline is this so far: Tuesday 9/16 Finish packing up everything but our mattresses, and laptops, and phones. Wednesday 9/17 Pack the mattresses, and the car up with the last few items , drive mom to work, run last minute errands, pick mom up around 3pm. Have dinner early, go to my aunt's house and I will go to sleep around 6pm or so. I am driving first as I am the bravest through NYC, NJ. Thursday 9/18 I will get up last, so that i have the longest sleep amount i can get. We will load grandma into the car, mom and I will get everything settled, top the car off with gas (if we don't do it the night before), and head out on the road between 1-2am. We want to drive until we hit at least North Carolina, but if we can make South Carolina that would be great. But its up to how tired we get, if we get too tired we will stop in Virginia, and then drive further the next day but we prefer the Carolinas. Friday 9/19 Continue driving to Florida, we will probably take a break at Daytona depending on the weather, and then after a short break we will finish our drive to orlando. Check into a hotel near our apartment and find dinner most likely steak n' shake, or sonic, or denny's something fast, good, and we will go back to the hotel, relax and I'll crash! Saturday 9/20 Today is Lease Signing Day!!!! I'll be up early its like a trip to WDW i'll be too excited to not wake up at the Bum Crack of Dawn so we will get there for first thing in the AM... after a breakfast first! Once we sign the lease, we hope to start moving things into the apartment, and we will spend the day getting it cleaned, and things out of the car Dinner will be whatever delivery we can find! Sunday 9/21 Our POD should arrive today, we have 24 hours to unload it, so we will unload it all and then unpack after all the stuff is inside! Yep thats our day, we hope to have gotten some food so we can cook at least! Monday 9/22 I am sneaking out vewy vewy ewarly to have breakfast with a passporter friend whom well shall remain nameless, but she loves eeyore, and ummm is enjoying a solo trip... so see i am not naming them I am just descrbing them Then back to the unpacking! Thats the first few days of my new life in Orlando, but I will say that today we did find out what our unit number is and well the location is nice not to far from the pool and close to an exit so that we can get in and out easily. But it definitely is going to take time to remember what our address is!

| Lesley I'll pick you up at the airport, providence or hartford both are equidistant for me! oooooh i used a big word...equidistant..... I am supervising right now the packing process as we speak...since mom won't let me near the collectibles...something about me being a Taurus and a china shop! Tomorrow I am hoping to actually start on my room but I really really hate packing, and I am easily distracted.!

| How exciting for you, Amy! I'm glad you got the apartment you wanted. It's really cute. And congratulations on becoming unemployed (I never thought I'd say that to anyone! ) I think it's pretty exciting that you're driving down. I always want to do a road trip, but I never want to make the drive back home, so you've eliminated the part I don't like and just have the fun part. Good luck driving down. I'm looking forward to hearing about it in person! P.S. Get packing!! Hint: if you pack all your distractions like your laptop and your Wii first, you'll have nothing else to do but pack! ![]()
