So who would of thought there would be another Trip Report from the Iamgrumpy Clan so soon after finishing the long awaited conclusion of (Amy, Angela and Floor Foot Frannie) but see that trip lead to this report even though this really isn’t a WDW trip!.

But first let me introduce you once again to those who are making this adventure.

First up there is Angela, she is 53 and also know as Amy’s mom. She loves palm trees, Disney, and shopping on QVC. Hence the nickname qvcnut pretty clever right…right! So its only fitting that she move to Florida isn’t it? Yes I would say so!



Next up is Amy she is 26 years old, and doesn’t need a reason to go to WDW she will go for any reason given, holiday, discount code, birthday, the weather is good. She majored in Hotel Management in College, but is hoping to change and either do nursing or education once she is settled.



Last is another appearance by Floor Foot Frannie- she is Amy’s Grandmother, and Angela’s Mother. She has been to Florida a few times, but May 2008 was the latest but she is coming along to help unpack, keep company, and to sign the lease with us so that she can visit during the winter without causing trouble.



So now that you know who, let’s talk when! And Why!!!

The dates of our adventure to move to Florida are:

September 17-September 20, 2008

There will be pre trip updates of what is getting done, and once we are moved in I will share update of how we like it but for the most part this is a report of our drive, and check in experience. I know this may not interest everyone but we will like having a memento of our trip to start our new life!

So why are we moving to Florida you ask? Well let me start by saying that in 1970 something my parents met and started to date, they fell in love and in 1976 got married. They took their first trip to Disney in 1980 and in 1982 welcomed their greatest accomplishment…. ME to the world. In 1987 they took me to WDW for the first time and for many years were very happy. Unfortunately, time and stress took its toll and now it’s very clear that neither were good for their relationship or their personalities when in the same room much less the same house. So Mom was going to be leaving my father. Let me say that I love my father, he helped give me life, but I don’t have to like him and I don’t. He is very angry with the world and doesn’t know how to share his emotions properly, and well it’s not safe to be near him.

So mom made the decision that it was time to move on from this relationship, and is filing for legal separation and then for divorce. I knew that once she did that there was no way I could stay in the house, so I started researching moving to Florida. Mom said that if I went down to Florida she would go with me and we could share an apartment to save on costs for me. That was awesome. We had gone looking a few years ago when it was just a thought, but I knew she was serious about it.

Well time went on, we took a trip in May looked at a lot of apartments and Middle of August we applied at our 1st choice. We waited and waited and waited and finally on August 25, 2008 we got the call!!!

We were ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!

So now we were in a time crunch because our lease was to be signed on September 20th.
