Great update Cheryl! It sounds like you had a good travel experience! Can't wait to see the rest of your photos . . . is that a giant Gumby in one of the skyline photos above? 13th from the bottom with the bridge in it? See Gumby in the background?
OK, you may have to translate this one for me... what's a Gumby?

Love the gas pump. You really have to look hard to find them but I found it once you pointed it out. Cheryl, i can't believe that you didn't get a picture of the lady on the plane doing her morning routine with her legs above her head.
In my defence, the camera was in my hand luggage, which was stowed above our heads, otherwise I would've tried - honest!

What a strange sight to wake up too...but glad that the rest of the trip was pleasant and that your feelings of dread past quickly and changed to excitement. Sounded like everything was smooth sailing at the airport...what amazing pictures of the trip into the city. Can't wait to hear more...
By the way how are your essays coming along?
I've done all my reading and preparation for one and have written about 500 words. Now I've done that, it should be reasonably straightforward from here - I hope! I hope to work on it this weekend and at least get a good chunk of it written, then I've got two study days next week, as well as next weekend, so fingers crossed, it should be fine...

ok I am so hard at the lady doing her exercises lol
I would have laughed really loud if I saw that.
the pics are great, and the city looks so pretty.
now I cant wait for the disney part.
As usual, I'm a day late & a dollar short. I'm so excited to have found this TR!
I have never had an interest in traveling to Japan, but your excitement & pictures have added it to my list of places I hope to go someday! Glad that things are going well so far, & I can't wait to hear all about the rest of your trip!
Good luck on the essays. I'm sure you'll do fine. I love reading everything you write up here on PassPorter!

Cheryl, your TR is getting better and better with each installment and your pictures are still fabulous. As Heather asked about Gumby, I thought the same thing when I saw that picture as I used to love Gumby. Cheryl, I would have been on the floor laughing so hard waking up to that woman in front of you doing her morning stretching (actually not a shock, my sister would do something like that on a airplane) with her legs above her head. How cool that you were able to see Tokyo Disney on your way to your hotel. Looking foward to reading more. More please

Great start Cheryl!! I love the idea of flying out late in the afternoon and just getting to relax at the hotel and surrounding gardens before your trip started. The photos of your drive into Tokyo are great - and the lady doing the exercises
I hope your writing goes well.

Sadly you'll have quite a wait for Tokyo Disney - we don't get there for another nine days, but trust me, it will be worth the wait.
