| Just read the whole thread. Congratulations Terri! It's so much fun reading about your plans. But I have a few questions: 1. How did being in the way of Chris's frappachino cause you to meet? Have you no details for us? 2. Who took the picture of Chris proposing to you? 3. Why did Chris chose the site in Washington, DC for the proposal?

| Great story on how you met and about the woman taking your photo. I thought you had re-staged it so you could get the picture. Very cool.

| Its been awhile since my last update and we have done a FEW things.. but not much progress. Which I guess is getting to me. Right now we are stuck on caterers. We've met with three, and all three have provided proposals... all of which are $2,500 more than I had estimated for food - our course with 150 guests - I don't know why I thought this would be cheaper. I really want to do a catered meal - since I am not cooking for 150 people, heck I wouldn't know where to start.... so I am slightly stressed. Chris keeps telling me now to worry - we can afford it... I guess it is my "poor biologist" mentality. We've also been looking at videographers - which is a big deal for Chris. He really wants the day photographed and videoed. Monica is working on setting up our next round of appointments - which will be the week after I return from Alaska, and the week before we head out on the cruise. A couple of new wrinkles - my sister will be going in for hip replacement surgery next week - and depending on her recovery - and another surgery that is being delayed now due to the hip surgery - I am not sure when she will be able to get her dress.... since she can't start shopping for it until she recovers from surgery #2. Dmom is taking DN to look at Jr. Bridesmaid dresses while DN is in ABQ with mom around the cruise time. I hope they find something that we all like, but we can't order it too soon - since 8 months is alot of time for little girls to grow. We ordered our cake - it will be a three tier rectangle cake, with the peacock blue ribbon around each layer. The bottom layer will be white chocolate cake with fresh rapsberries in butter cream as the filling. The top 2 layers will be white cake with chocolate ganache as the filling. The entire cake will be covered in ivory icing and french lace detail work. I can tell you that the cake tasting was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning so far. I have held off on ordering Chris' grooms cake. We've decided we will serve that at the rehearsal dinner the night before - and he wants chocolate... and I think I know how to decorate it - but he wants to me to with a cheaper cake, and not have the same baker that is doing our cake bake it as a money saving option. We shall see.... My dress should be arriving in August - maybe while I am in Seattle... and then I have to begin to get it altered and the bustle put in. I've decided NOT to go with alterations from the boutique where I bought it - since they charge ALOT for them - Monica recommended a couple of seamstresses to me - another thing on my to do list. Chris went over to Men's warehouse last weekend while I was getting my pre-cruise pedicure and talked to them about the guys' outfits and what we should do for him.... we now have some ideas - but we don't have to start worrying out that until October. I guess I just need to get through Alaska, the cruise, Seattle - and then Planning Associates will be done, I will be home more and we will be ~ 6 months out from the wedding and can start lots of the detail work!!!

| Sounds to me like you really have a lot done. Aside from figuring out the catering, all the major decisions have been made. Just hard that so many details have to be settled closer to the date. ![]() ![]() for your sister's surgery!

| So glad that you have Monica. She sounds like she is a gem. I hope everything for your sister works out. I know that is alot of extra stress and worry for you. Major doses of for her and for you. It'll be okay.
