| The dress and the flowers are beautiful! May I make a suggestion for shoes? Two of my friends and my sister all wore ballet slippers for the wedding and were more than comfortable. This way you only have to have one pair of shoes. Just thought I throw that out there.

| Quick update - Today we are meeting with Monica to work on the remaining "to do" items - and then at 4pm we head to the caterers for our tasting. After that we head to Men's Warehouse for tux stuff for the 11 men that need them - and next Tuesday I head to the printer to work on designing the invitations (and getting a cost estimate). We finished preparing the Honeymoon registry website - Site Requirements for Honeyfund.com, the free honeymoon registry And on Saturday afternoon have to go to Bed Bath and Beyond to finish registering there for the few remaining items we need for the house. There isn't much we need since we've both had our own homes for almost 20 years - so its not like we have a new home to furnish (or anywhere to put a bunch of new stuff anyway). We've also decided that china and crystal aren't something we are interested in either.

| Good Luck with all those items! The tasting will be fun! I love the honeymoon website - great idea! I don't think too many people register for china these days - not used as much I guess. I know we didn't.

| Another update - The tasting went VERY well and we loved 90% of the menu. Only one thing to change - so this is what we will have at our wedding reception - Appetizers to be Passed: Black Bean Cakes topped with Tomatillo – Poblano Pico ~ Crab and Avocado in Tortilla Cups topped with a Lime Crème Fraiche ~ Mini Spinach Quiches ~ Curried Crab Deviled Eggs Appetizer Display Spicy Chicken Empanadas with Chipotle Crème Fraiche ~ Chicken Egg Rolls with Sweet Chile Dipping Sauce ~ Beef Tenderloin Kabobs with Poblano Vinaigrette Station #1 Mashed Potato Bar Goat Cheese Whipped Potatoes served in Martini Glasses with Guests Choice of Toppings: Butter, Sour Cream, Smoked Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Chives Station #2 Chef Attended Carving Station Bourbon Molasses Glazed Grilled Pork Tenderloin with choice of Spicy Peach Chutney and Dried Cherry - Port Chutney ~ Assorted Breads Basket Parker House Silver Dollar Rolls, Sweet Potato Biscuits and Jalapeno Corn Bread Station #3 Main Buffet Mixed Greens Salad with Grape Tomatoes, Basil, Cucumbers and Mandarin Oranges served with Raspberry Vinaigrette ~ Grilled Seasonal Vegetables served warm with a Pesto Vinaigrette ~ FISH TACOS!!! Crispy Fried Talapia with warm soft flour tortillas and all the taco fixings Coffee With Creamers and Sugars hmmm - can I eat with the kiddos?? We also made our first run to Men's Wearhouse for the guys and think we have a plan there. Originally I wanted all the guys in alternating blue/clover like the girls - well - the clover vest is YUCK and no way jose will that be on the guys. SO - instead - we have the groomsmen and grown up ushers in horizon blue vests with clover pocket squares - plus their boutineres will be clover in color too - so that helps. The Jr ushers/ring bear and their grandfathers (my dad and Chris' dad) will be in champagne with ivory pocket squares... which match Miss Rachel (our flower girl). We have to go back today to finalize all the paperwork (we ran out of time with the tasting and I forgot our swatches). And - I found my shoes!! I tried them on with my dress last night (well sorta - its hard to get into something you can't close up the back on by yourself) and the color matches exactly - although the dress will still have to be hemmed about 1-2 inches.... While I had my dress on - I tried on mom's veil - and it won't work with my dress. It is way too long - and too lacey - too much to compete with the dress. So now I am veil shopping as well. I want to find a way to incorporate it though - since it was supposed to be my "something old". The florist is hired, the contract is signed and I need to mail the deposit check to her. There are very few remaining large items to do for the wedding - now its all the little stuff... and man is there a BUNCH of little stuff...
