| Just found this thread Terri. So glad you're letting all of us "in" on the planning! Sounds like you already have some wonderful plans! I really love the peacock feathers/color idea. Sounds gorgeous! Good luck in your continued search for venues.

| Reception Venue - CHECK... Now we have a problem. We have selected Walker’s Landing at Amelia Island Plantation north of Jacksonville. The view of the marsh from the deck outside of the reception location is just beautiful!!! Now for the problem - we now have to find a place to have the ceremony!! We need a place for folks to sit - and with a possible 160 guests - we can’t do it at Walker’s... so we start looking. We looked up the road at an Episcopalian Church - a “settlement church” built in the mid 1800’s. While it is lovely, and they allow guest clergy to marry people - it is too small. It can only seat 80ish. We decided to then look to the north in Fernandina - we looked at a Lutheran church and they don’t let “strangers” use the church since they “have been burned before” and an other Episocopalian church (a BEAUTIFUL church) and they REQUIRE that their priest marry you, charge $2,100 to use the church and require you to use their wedding planner for the ceremony (all of this meaning that we can’t have Dr. Haven’s marry us, and can’t have Monica involved in coordinating ANY of the ceremony) - so that is a no go. We have the option of marrying in Dr. Haven’s church (where we go to services) or finding an alternative location in JAX and asking guests to drive to the reception location (so be it). Monica is helping us identify ceremony locations. We also bought postage for 2/3 of our postage needs, bought some stuff for the July cruise, picked up another color swatch at David’s Bridal (the one color I did not get in Portland) and bought a new pair of slacks and a skirt on sale at JCPenney. Overall a very productive day. Tomorrow both of us are back to work - Chris has to work nights - and I will work out with Candy, pick up clear address labels for the save the dates and invites, and come home and pack for the next three weeks of travel. I also made 8 dozen cookies and will be taking 2/3 of them to work with me for my Home Office Back Brief presentation tomorrow afternoon. We are planning on a 3-4 hour kayak trip on Saturday on Amelia Island - which I am looking forward to.

| Congrats on finding your site, Terri! That is the biggest load, IMO. Just a little FYI, you had mentioned buying postage for your stuff . . . . . Effective May 11th, stamps for a regular letter increase from .42 to .44, so I'd make sure you get your stuff out before then. Otherwise you'll have to put that annoying .02 stamp on everything. LOL
