| Viva Las Vegas!! - COMPLETE!! 6/1 I am leaving for Las Vegas in 11 more days!! It is the annual trip that my mother and I make each year somewhere.....this year is Vegas.....we have gone to Vegas about 5 times over the last few years, also Reno. Maybe one of these days I can talk her into WDW..... Travelers Me: Shari (48) Office manager/paralegal Love to travel Mom: Ann (70) Retired I gave up buying her birthday and christmas presents several years ago and started taking her somewhere each year instead. Just her and me and have come to treasure these each year. Just wish I could talk her into WDW.....maybe someday May 13 I will leave the Memphis Airport and fly to Indianapolis to meet Mom. She doesn't like to fly alone so I fly up there to meet her. We will stay at a hotel near the airport and fly out early the next morning. May 14 thru May 18 Vegas May 18 thru May 21 Spend a couple days in Indiana to see other family before I fly back to memphis. We fly out of Indy early, it is a first class flight, we quit flying coach to Vegas several years ago. 3 to 4 hour flight we deserve First class. We will be in Vegas at 8 am but we have learned how to entertain ourselves until the room is ready. We are staying at Mandalay Bay this time. We try to stay at a different hotel each time we go. We normally just go with the flow but this year I made reservations at a dinner theatre at Four Queens. She has always wanted to do one and never has so we are. Plan on maybe doing the Titanic exhibition, a couple of comedy clubs and basically just spending some time together since I live 8 hours away from her and we don't see each other as much as we used to when I lived there. Oh yeah we will gamble some too.....lol Mom does quarter slots, it took me 3 trips to make her realize that you have to put in the max bet to really do any good. We usually break even or win a little but never enough to brag about, but we have never lost so much that it made us regret going either...... If anyone has any suggestions on what can not be missed these days there, please share that with me.

| I am not sure how many of your meals you have planned but here's a few places I love. Yolos in Planet Hollywood hotel, it's great Mexican food. I also enjoyed the Burger Bar which is at Mandalay place, good burgers. There is also BLT Burger down in the Mirage if you are down there too. If you are looking for a great steakplace the Strip House at Planet Hollywood is also very very good.

| We just went to BLT Burger yesterday with friends who are in town. It's good, but it's still burgers...their milkshakes, however, looked divine! They offer "regular" and FAB versions! I hope you make it to the Titanic exhibit. I've heard great things about it. Haven't been, but you know how it is when you live somewhere.... I just took the kids to the Dolphin Habitat and Secret Garden at the Mirage with a friend yesterday, too. I really enjoyed it. I hadn't been since the dolphins first came years and years ago, before they added the tigers and all. It's a reasonable price ($15/adult, $10/kids) and we were there for about 1 1/2 hours. If you luck out and get to see some interactions, it's fascinating. They were giving an "inhaler" to one of the dolphins. And there is a baby leopard who was playing with one of the trainers, so it was fun to watch. It's not an all day thing, but it's a fun afternoon break for 2 or 3 hours.... Inside Mandalay Bay is the Shark Reef. Pretty cool, but somewhat pricey. Not typical Vegas and if you have a good zoo or aquarium where you come from, it won't be worth it, but if not, it's another nice visit. For "cheap" gambling, head downtown, to Las Vegas Club or Golden Gate (accessable off of Fremont St. Experience). Their tables are pretty inexpensive and you can play roulette and craps much longer, since they have cheaper minimum bets. You can also check out the light shows, which vary during the night.

| Hi Shari! We just got back a few days ago from Vegas. The Titanic Exhibition at the Luxor was absolutely awesome! It was one of our favorite parts of the trip. We found a cute place to eat in front of Caesar's Palace called Serendipity 3. The food is interesting and great, and they have this frozen hot chocolate thing that was delicious! Hope you and your mom have a fun trip!
