OK, I'm here. I thought I would wait a bit and see how many changes I could circumvent (does that big word apply here??). The one change was a good one! You saved a bunch of money on the room, and probably came out better!! We have reserved Country Inn & Suites at Port Canaveral for the night before our cruise and parking, so I think you've made a good choice there.
Now, you got to make more plans so you can change them! (Sure is gettin' thirsty around this PTR... must be the lack of air travel).

I was just reading your meal plans and have a couple comments as someone who lives on Sanibel part-time...

Sorry to tell you but La Vigna closed several months ago. In its place is Sweet Melissa's..one of the gals that owned Red Fish Blu Fish, if you are familiar with them from previous trips. If you are looking to replace that meal with another Italian restaurant, I recommend Dolce Vita. If you are looking more for family style Island Cow is fun and the servings huge. Hungry Heron or RC Otters are along the same lines. Heron is on Sanibel, Otters is in the Village on Captiva.

Sanibel Steakhouse, IMO, is a good place to stay away from. They are under new ownership the past year or so. Prices are high for the amount and quality of your meal.

Have fun and if you have any questions, send me a PM.

So My mom's Shirt did get here, but when she opened the package, she noticed it had some other person's perfume on it and it REEKED of body odor as well. Seems someone bought the shirt, wore it, and returned it. Then QVC never checked it just put it in a new box and shipped it back out. My mom shipped it back, and QVC is refunding her money. So now we won't have matching shirts and the whole theme is ruined Thanks to some Cheap *** person who couldn't just eat the $ and keep the shirt, and by QVC for not quality controling the returns. (by the way they always claim they never reship things out that get returned but yeah that was a LIE!) I'm not bitter oh no...they just ruin our plans and have no recourse other then complaining to them and them not caring.

Sounds like you've got it somewhat planned, but enough for go with the flow. The onyl restaraunt I've heard of is Cheeburger Cheeburger as we have one at one of our local malls. It's good diner type food.
That sounds like our kind of place! I can't wait to try Cheeburger Cheeburger and yeah we want to be relaxed this trip too much stress going on.

Glad you found it Lisa!! Nothing really to change as this is a "go with the Flow" kinda vacation and the only things really that will change are the restaurants based on where we are located and feel like eating I am sure.

I might need directions on how to do the Stoop, and maybe a video camera to catch when I fall on my backside trying to do it since my balance issues will make for some comical stoops?

Thanks for the wonderful info, the person I had talked to must have not gone to Sanibel in a while, but I have added a few of your recommendations to our list of places to try and removed the few that you mentioned closed or were not so great. I appreciate the suggestions

I can't wait for this trip to get here, and I just hope it doesn't fly by so fast that the trip is over too quickly either!

YUCK on the blouse situation!!! Hopefully like you said that is the only downer for the trip. Looks like you've gotten some good advice, I'm sure you will still have a great time even though you won't match.

Bummer on the blouse! DW does a lot of business with QVC and we have been pretty impressed with them. Mistakes happen all the time, but to let an item out to be reshipped without inspecting it is soooo not acceptable! Of course, sending an item back in that condition and expecting a refund is just as bad! I'm disgusted!.. and it takes a lot to disgust me!

I s'pose you're right about the "dry trip report", but, maybe you won't mind if I offer a bit of coffee from our veranda... maybe it will soothe that "evil grumpy side" a little:

Well, it ain't DD, but it is DCL!

That's the "non-alcoholic, morning coffee" so it's OK for driving... honest!
