Amazing meet with the dwarves! You have some really wonderful pictures, Cheryl - I'm sure they'll be treasured. Don't you love it when your "man" turns into a great big kid?
I have a question about the parade post (We had a busy weekend at the B&B and I missed a day, so I'm behind) There are a number of signs showing through the parade for "The Little Injun That Could" Seriously? Was it about an Injun, as in "Injun Joe"? or was that a typo and it should have read Engine? Just curious
ciao

I believe it does refer to Injun, as in Injun Joe....

Wednesday 8 April – part eight: Disney’s most amazing hotel in the world

After that, nothing could top that and we were both on a high, so we headed out of the park.

It was on to the monorail, completing the circuit to Tokyo Disney Sea, as the monorail here only goes one way. It’s a shame, as you pass outside of the parks and all you really see of Tokyo Disney Sea are backstage areas. Sadly that bit wasn’t very well imagineered.

Our first glimpse of the Hotel MiraCosta

We got off at Tokyo Disney Sea and quickly found the special exit for the Hotel MiraCosta, which instantly made me feel special. We got a few glimpses of the hotel as we walked over there.

Once inside the lobby, just like the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, my jaw just dropped open. This was stunningly beautiful and we couldn’t stop taking photos.

Once we did, we finally checked in and our bags were brought out and we were able to book our return journey back to the airport on Saturday. Sad to be thinking about going home. Still, there was plenty more fun to come between now and then and the first part was getting to our room. No wonder they have someone to take you there, this place is so huge and it feels like it sprawls forever. We had problems keeping up with where we were going, as we went. The Cast Member whose name sadly I didn’t catch, was brilliant, pointing out the hidden Mickeys and hidden Pinnochios on the way, as he’s the main character for this hotel. He’s in the paintings on the walls of the corridors and when we got to the room, she told us that there were three hidden Pinnochios in there. We quickly found the one on the bed sheet and the painting above the beds, but we couldn’t find the third, which was in the wallpaper. How neat. She was lovely and again, it’s a great shame that tipping isn’t accepted here, as she richly deserved it.

Most of this came home with us!

We explored the room, which was wonderful. All the delights of the Sheraton were forgotten within a few minutes of walking in here, it was that good. The view from the window was pretty special too:

We were so glad that we had booked here. It’s just all the little touches that Disney does so well and this just feels so luxurious. It was perfect for us.

After a couple of hours in the room, we headed back out to Tokyo Disneyland, so that we could see their Electrical Light Parade, called Dreamlights. We took the monorail and got to the park at about 7.05, about 25 minutes before the parade was due to start.

We headed through Main Street and towards the castle...

Although there was no space around the castle, we moved towards Tomorrowland and immediately found lots of space, so grabbed a front row seat. We had to sit, which didn’t go down well with Mark, as he’s not good at sitting for a long time, as he gets cramp.

I decided that I needed a little something and knew the exact thing, the honey popcorn that was just a little way down from us. I went and got a small tub and it was lovely, just like the sweet popcorn we have at home, but obviously with a honey taste to it. Just what we needed.

Next: black sesame mousse???
