What a great finish to a great trip. Mike and Jess' place looks lovely - I was laughing so hard about Steve driving like an Indy 500 driver... Classic!

I just stumbled upon this trip report while reading something else, and I want to thank you so much for all of the wonderful photos - especially of Disney's HH resort. It's been really hard to find pictures that show all parts of it, and I'm even more excited to try to find a time next year when my DH and I can go down there. We're only about five hours away, so we hope to plan a trip there soon. Thanks!
Sue, thanks for sending me the link to this. I really appreciated the chance to read this all the way through.
Before we moved to Florida, we lived in Southern Maryland, and went to Assateague a few times. They have an outstanding camping facility for groups that our scouts took advantage of. One thing you didn't mention was mosquitos. I know they were really bad every time we went there, but it was a little later in the year.
And I know exactly how you felt when you got your first glance of one of the ponies. I was also a Misty fan, and nothing describes that feeling. Camping there we had some of them actually walking through our campsite!
