| What a long day but it still amazes me that in 10 hours you have traveled through 3 countries, pretty cool I have to say. The weather looked good most of the trip and how great to have the staple McDonalds to have a little break at. Your dinner sounded delicious though...and probably especially good after fast food all day. Can't wait to hear more of the adventure.

| Wonderful! Fantastic! Cool! Neat-O! Loved the Cullen Car  Is it normal for cars to ride that close to trucks?? <shudders> I always hate that!Sounds like it was a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong day of driving, and you just started!! I had to  with the first meal being McDonalds. And the second. Works for me!The Ferry is a neat idea. More please.

| Great start Sabine!  Wow, that was a lot of driving - and a lot of McDonalds... is this how road trips work with you guys... McDondalds along the way?  I loved the fact that the first thing you saw when you got into Sweden was an IKEA - classic!

About the McDonald's - there really isn't much to choose from when it comes to fast food along highways/freeways in Scandinavia. It's usually McD's and occasionally Burger King. Plus we knew that even McD's would be scarce once we'd get further north so we made sure we got our fast food fix as long as still possible  Quote:

| Such a great and scenic day!!!! Love the pics!!! I just love road trips... I'm thinking about planning to do a couple of the major roadways here...as there are several that go completely N-S or E-W.....Can't wait to read how yours pan out....

| Your hotel room looked fantastic! Even though it was in the heart of town it didn't seem like one of those cookie cutter business type of hotels. Good for you! The picture of the banana split made my eyes bug out. Love it!
