I Love Alaska almost as much as WDW. Thanks for the trip report! I've been 3 times to Alaska in the past 8 years (2 of those being land first the cruise) and plan on going back in 2013.

Started planning my 2 week 40th BDay trip to WDW in 2016. Of course I gotta take a few "planning" trips before then.
Pay off Car- Oct 2012 (2 months early) update- PAID OFF CAR in SEPTEMBER 3 months early!
Go to WDW to Celebrate No Car Payments & a photographic degree (receiving the day before I leave)!- Jan 2013!
I hope you all are having a fabulous time on your trip! Can't wait to read all about your experiences. We sailed on the Carnival Spirit to Alaska in May. It was BEAUTIFUL and the weather was wonderful. We are already planning on a return trip in the not to distant future. We did the whale watching in Anchorage and saw both orcas and humpbacks that day. I am sure that you will love Butchart Gardens. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
Hi Everyone! We got back at midnight on Tuesday, after a slight delay in Newark! It was an absolutely amazing trip. If you haven't been to Alaska, you must go (and the inside passage isn't enough, you need to get up to the "mainland")! Spectacular!
I have the first few days of the trip report written, but I still need to upload pictures. Plus I'm still in the process of laundry (got 4 loads done yesterday) as well as trying to get the lawn mowed and just caught up in life in general, so hopefully this weekend I can start the report. It was definitely the trip of a lifetime, but I can tell you that we will be back to Alaska (even the kids agreed on that one)!
