Great shots of Old Faithful. You've definitely cemented in my mind that I want to stay at the Old Faithful Inn whenever I finally make it to Yellowstone.

Saturday 10 September – part three: a geyser trip of a lifetime!
We headed out for our geyser trip of a lifetime. I’d read earlier that this part of Yellowstone is home to something like 20% of the world’s geysers. At the time, it seemed a bit unbelievable, but as the day wore on, we were definitely believers!
We didn’t get very far from the Inn, before we saw some more, which turned out to be the Three Sisters Springs...
Our first stop was at the Black Sand Basin, which I had read in my trusty Fodor’s, was well worth a visit because of the brilliant colours here. They weren’t wrong. It was superb.
We were also treated to a wonderful display from one of the geysers there, Cliff Geyser, located, as you can see, right on the edge of the river...
Some of the geysers were lucky enough to have names, but others weren’t. I felt quite sorry for those without names, as some were just as spectacular as their namesakes...
Soon you started to be able to guess what names might be given to each geyser. You’ll soon see what I mean...
I got a few days behind, but I'm all caught up now. Amazing pictures!!! How awesome to have a view of Old Faithful right outside your hotel room. The pictures of the geysers are just incredible!
I didn't realize there were so many geysers all in that area. Great pictures!
I was amazed to discover that Yellowstone is home to 60% of the world's geysers. I never expected that - I thought that honour would go to somewhere like Iceland.
It's just fascinating. The fun part to think about is that these geysers just keep going, no matter. They don't close down at 10pm, they keep going. All the time!! Crazy.

Note: do not go out of town during one of Chez's TR! I was 8 pages behind after a week away. All caught up again and blown away by Yellowstone. What a sensory experience it must be with the sights, smells, sounds. Love the vivid blue pool. And Old Faithful Inn looks gorgeous! Your dessert nearly had me licking the screen.
