Hey all, back on dry land, and halfway home... in ATL.
I got hit with a migraine about half hour after getting off the boat... I FINALLY got it under control after 2 pills and 4 hours. The meds knocked me out, though. I stayed awake (barely) just long enough to get on the airplane in Ft. Lauderdale. I got on the airplane and was asleep before the airplane door was closed. I woke up only when we landed. I got off of the plane in ATL, and grabbed a slice of pizza and a sweet tea, and now I'm settled in at my gate and am finally feeling somewhat "me" again. I'm still a little out of it, but functional, and the headache is mostly gone. I'm feeling really emotional, though, and I don't know if it's the meds, hormones, me missing Meri, me being tired (I only got 5 hours of sleep last night) or some combination of all of the above...
I have a lot to share with you all, and I really look forward to reliving it.
But for now, I'm going to go listen to some music and try to relax a little, and get myself under control.
I will start the TR in the next day or so... I just have to get caught up on work first! And hug my little girl a million times. Gosh I missed her. There were so many things on the boat that made me think of her, and made me say, "Gosh she'd LOVE that" or "Gosh I wish she were here." Now, don't mistake me, there were also times (mostly when I was laying in the sun with my iPod and a fruity drink, and napping) that I thought, "Ahhhh, it's nice to be away." But I did miss her a lot. I can't wait to take her on the next cruise. She's going to really love it and this just motivated me to make one happen in 2013, somehow or another.
Pictures looked great! Sounds like you're having a perfect trp!! Have you climbed that rock wall yet, or done the zip line?
Weirdly there was no zip line activity. I meant to ask a crew member and forgot... but yeah... there was a line of some sort leading from one side of the top deck to the other (quite a ways up) but it looked like there was really no easy way to GET to it on either side... so we were quite confused.
I did attempt the rock wall, though... You'll have to wait for the TR to see if I reached the top or wiped out! (Unless you've seen my FB pictures in which case you know already)
Awwww, it made me tear up to think of you wiped out from the meds and the headache and missing Meri. I'm glad, though, that you had a great cruise and will have Meri with you on the next one.
So glad you had a great time and that the migraine at least held off until AFTER you were done with the cruise...but STILL! You poor thing! Thank goodness you made it home in one piece (I had visions of you staying asleep on the plane and then waking up to realize you landed in LA...not that THAT would have been a problem, lol!).
Can't wait to hear all about the trip!!!
