All caught up...your room sounds really nice. Breakfast on the balcony...YUM & relaxing! We did that on our cruise in April. Perfect start to the day.
JOHNNY ROCKETS!!!! We moved kind of far from one too and I miss their vanilla milkshakes. OMG now I am craving one, thanks a lot!!
Your excursion sounds great. We skipped doing one when we went to Cozumel and just toured on our own. If think if we had gone without DS we'd do something similar to yours.
Wow! Everything sounds perfect. How lucky that you have such a good friend to invite you and that she works for such a generous company. Have fun. Can't imagine how you couldn't!

I am so excited, I hope it's as awesome as I want it to be! LOL!

I know that debate well. I think in Nassau the only way I'd bother getting off the ship again is to go to Atlantis. Otherwise I'd rather just enjoy the quiet ship. It's a great and inexpensive time to get spa treatments.

I am really excited to just relax on the water.

I really am grateful that she invited me, and amazed at her company's generosity! I really need this break, and look forward to it greatly!
So it's time to really start thinking about packing, what with me leaving in just 9 days! My friend just cleaned out her clothes that were in storage, and she dropped off a bunch of dresses and shirts that she thought I might want to borrow for the trip!!! So you may be seeing a great deal of them! I've got to try a few more on, but I definitely have more options now!!!
I know that we will have one formal night. I've got a simple black dress that I'm going to wear for that, I think. It's very basic, but still nice, and it will do the trick. For the other more casual dinners, they still like for you to look nice, so I have a number of casual but nice dress options to wear. As far as lounging on the ship during the daytime, you'll see me in a bathing suit and cover up more than anything else.
For the excursion, I'm thinking I'll wear my bathing suit with a cover up that looks like a strapless sundress.
As far as shoes, I'm thinking I'll bring my strappy black heels, which will go with all of the nicer dresses. Then I'm thinking my white skechers for just schlepping around the deck (I'm not a flip-flop girl, they are far too uncomfortable for me), and I have the black croc sandals I can bring for the excursion. And I think I might bring one pair of slip-on sandals with a slight heel for the less-dressy dresses for dinner.
For my travel days, I'm going to stick with my black sweats with a tshirt, and for the boarding-of-the-ship day (lol) I'll wear jeans with a cute shirt, I think.
I was going to check a bag, but decided against it. I'm only gone for 5 days, and my clothes are so thin / small because they're summer clothes, that I just don't need that much space. So why blow $50 for no reason. Might as well just keep it simple!
I am so ready to be on the ship! I'm positively drained, and I've had a migraine on and off (mostly on) since last Thursday. I've got an appointment with a neurologist next Monday, so I'm hopeful that they will be able to sort me out... and I have a refill of my migraine meds that I will pick up tomorrow, and that should last me through the cruise, I hope! Though at the rate I've been taking them, I may well have to call for a refill at the Walgreens beside my hotel! What a nuisance!
Other than that... I've got "Skype" times set with mom, for while I'm away. I'm going to purchase an internet package on the boat so I can have about 5-10 minutes per day to chat with Meri. I think she'll get a kick out of that. And I'll come in here to post brief updates, as well!
Then on Monday I will likely post an update from the airport. I need to see if FLL has free wifi or if I'll have to buy time from Boingo. Have I mentioned yet how READY I am for this trip???
OMG I missed the start of this oh-so-special TR while we were at WDW! All caught up and can I say you've got the bestest friend and she works for an awesome company! So glad they were able to hire her back and be so good to the two of you!
I too am so happy you are not flying stand-by this time. Will send lots of pixies for safe travels none the less!
Will be keeping up with your posts now, so keep them coming!
SO sorry to hear about the migraines! How nice to have more wardrobe options. Sounds like you're really all set. I'll be at WDW when you begin this trip, but will be checking in to see how things are going. (I think I'll start my TR tonight-- your excitement is triggering mine!)
Hope they find an answer for the migraines...........been there, done that....for 2 yrs - turns out it was a cyst in sinuses that neuro missed - all good after removal!
