Oh boy am I ever! I just need to put everything in the suitcase, and I'll do that Tuesday night so nothing gets too crinkly!

I thought it would be something fun for Meri (and easy for mom)!

When it comes to something other than flights you must be the luckiest person ever!! Free cruise? With balcony? How awesome. Ya know, I live in NoVA if they're hiring....
Trip sounds great! I'd do a week long with nothing but at sea days if I could!
If they're hiring, I'll definitely put a great word in for you. They're an amazing company! And yeah, my luck does NOT extend to standby flying - at least not often. Though I guess that's not entirely true, since I DO get on a plane eventually, lol.
Ok so I decided to bring a smaller suitcase. With all of my stuff being summer stuff (and thus thinner / smaller than usual), I just can't fill the huge suitcase. So, since I'm not bringing the big suitcase, no point in wasting money to check my bag! Therefore, I'll be carrying on my suitcase for this trip.
It doesn't really change much, except I won't be bringing my wine with me - instead I'll have to look into grabbing some down there if anything is nearby to my hotel (and frankly I'll be shocked if there isn't). I can pick up shampoo at the Walgreens beside my hotel - I use the cheap stuff anyway, and this way Toni and I can share it, since she's not checking a bag either.
My clothes are all clean and hanging on my bed, waiting for Tuesday evening, so they can be rolled and packed! I've got other misc stuff in my suitcase, waiting to be properly arranged... a couple of new books, some cords, some snacks... Oh MAN I can NOT wait!!! I can't believe it's a mere 3 sleeps away!
I typed up some notes for mom while I'm away. Lest you think I'm a complete micro-manager (ok I AM, but...), I will tell you that she asked for Meri's daily schedule (she knows it, but since I am the one that deals with it, she's worried she'll forget something). I also included all of my trip info (in case I need to be reached for an emergency - which I don't anticipate BUT...) and a bunch of my friends' numbers, in case she wants to set up a play date. I've got a number of friends who volunteered to take Meri for a few hours over the weekend, so mom can get a little break if she wants.
It's really it... the final preparations are underway! Tomorrow morning is my neurologist appt... I can't wait! I hope they have some ideas! I've been headache-free for 2 days, so that's a plus! And I've got my meds (10 pills) so I should be all set in case anything comes up while I'm out of town. I just have to remember to stay fully hydrated, and eat regularly (as if THAT is going to be a problem - HA) and I should be just fine!
I'm getting a small internet package on board the ship, but honestly I don't anticipate getting on the boards much if at all, unless I get down to the last night and still have some time left. I'm getting the minutes specifically to email / Skype with Meri, and if I have time left over at the end, then I'll pop on to say hi and blow the minutes!
Thanks! I hope so, too! I need to pack a small notepad so I can take notes for my TR - since we all know I'm not going to remember a THING afterwards! I'm also hoping to type a little every day in a word doc, so when I get back I can have it ready! But we'll see if that's too ambitious for me.

By the way, Sophia had some spam musubi on Friday, and we all thought of you!
Crissy and I were walking through the mall yesterday after lunch, and we passed a place selling Hawaiian coffee, and I said to her, "Now if only it sold spam musubi, I'd be in heaven!" LOL! *sigh* I'm going to fly out there just for that! YUMMY!
