First, I'm glad you are safe, but boy did you get a lot of snow! And second, I really hope you start feeling better. My father got the flu and it is no fun. Rest easy and get better!
Feeling much better today, and even went grocery shopping this morning. Wiped me out, but it felt so good to get outside. The next snow system rolls through tonight, then another one tomorrow, so I got out just in time. The worst of the flu right now is the weakness and bad cough, which typically is what I have a hard time getting rid of. I leave 3 weeks from tomorrow, and I don't want to be frightening people off the plane with my spasms!! Thanks, everyone!
Glad you are feeling better. For the cough, have you tried coating your feet in Vick's Vaporub then socks. It comes on good authority that this works very well especially at night.

No, I've never heard of that, but will try it and will let you know! Thanks!

Glad to hear you are recovering from the flu. As I understand it (from a reputable pharmacist source...) this year's flu shot was 63% effective - so 37% of the flu that was circulating was NOT in the shot - since they have to guess the strains that will be circulating for next year's flu season no less than 8 months in advance to allow time to make the vaccine... I remember a few years ago that the shot was only 30+% effective... ugh. Tamiflu makes a huge difference in lessening the duration and intensity of the virus. Sorry to hear about your mom and your inability to see her thus far.

Thanks, Terri! (And thanks to your reputable pharmacist-- how handy!) Tamiflu seems like a real wonder drug to me, when I think about how terribly ill I felt just a few days ago.

So far, not much, and I think it'll be only 3" or so now.
Glad you are feeling much better and was able to get out for a little while yesterday. Hopefully the cough will be gone before you leave. I can't believe how close your trip is!
