While there wasn't an acutal article about this, if you scroll down, there are some pictures of the netting. IMO it's a shame they did that - you won't be able to see the tree as well - but with that branch falling a few weeks ago, I understand why they did it
Oh wow, had not heard about one of the branches falling. Too bad, one of the things we enjoy is walking around the tree and picking out the different animals. But as you mentioned completely understandable, would not want anyone to get hurt.
What a shame. I hadn't heard about the falling branch, but after that incident, I can understand it, but as one of the captions to the photos says, it's certainly never going to feel that open again there.
What a shame. Obviously necessary, but it makes me wonder if they shouldn't just close down the tree to really fix the problem. It would be terrible while it lasted, but at some point they're going to have to take the time to correct things-- can't lose all the branches!
