I just saw that on Facebook as well!!! Can't WAIT!! I hope they do it as well as it looks in CA!! I haven't had the chance to actually go to Carsland in CA so this will be a lot easier and ultimately cheaper in the long run to see!

This is still just a rumor but we'll see! If the rumors are to be believed, Both Lights, Motors, Action! and the Backlot Tour will be demolished to make way for Cars Land.

I'd call this a "high probability" rumor, but still, I'm a bit leery of the timing. The headline for news coverage tomorrow is supposed to be Fantasyland. Disney risks drawing coverage away from Fantasyland, and Fantasyland is the reason they're spending the money on a big media event in the first place. They're usually pretty savvy about that. On the flip side, if you have lots and lots of media attention, it also means you can get better-than-average attention for the "next big thing."

I believe it. I have a friend who works at MK and said she heard that they were supposed to be making an announcement very soon that was going to be "even bigger than the Fantasyland expansion" news. This would fit that, I think.

Another board that I follow on Facebook posted it today. One of my friends who is a ta is down there for the fantasyland opening, so if they make an announcement, I'm sure she'll post something right away.

I was thinking they'd link it into all the openings they're announcing today. How cool if that does happen - as we'll be there for that. The only downside is we're looking to go to WDW for Christmas 2014 with our nephew who is a massive Cars fan and I doubt it'll be done for then.

Carsland would be cool. I just really wanted my mom to see the backlot tour. It is her kind of thing. But we aren't going until next December.

YAY!!! I so hope that is true! LMA was something that having done it once was all our family really cared for but Carsland....that is EXCITING!
