| July 15 in Disney history July 15, 1995 The glass sided Fairy Tale Wedding Pavilion opened at Walt Disney World in Orlando. It remains the most popular wedding venue in the park. The pavilion, which occupies its own private island between the Grand Floridian and Polynesian resorts, is the center piece of Disney's highly successful Fairy Tale Wddings division. Cinderella Castle is directly across Seven Seas Lagoon from the chapel and rises romantically in the window over the altar. Cinderella's coach can transport the bride to the Magic Kingdom if she desires, but the palm heavy solarium is a major reception venue.
