Would You Ride This?

One of my oddball ideas for Disney ,

Multi-Track Motion Simulator Coaster

The idea is a Multi-trick coaster motion simulator ride that instead of one direction it goes to one of multiple directions possible directions that the riders get to choose based on what route they want to take as they are in control of the story of the ride. The ride features any given story whatever it is the riders choose to go one of many directions that effects the story in any given way and the riders get to choose what direction the story winds up .

If the riders create the best resolution to the story than they are expert puzzle problem solvers. In that way it stimulates the brain. Techniquely educational as it teaches about stradegy. It also requires alot of thought you have to listen to the characters carefully to make the wisest decision.

Its a coaster with actual track with a motion simulator backdrop all around you. You get to choose the track that effects the story the story already written by Imagineer's with different outcomes depending on what the rider chooses. The ride is already built your just given options on where on the ride you want to go. You get to choose from one of many different tracks through out the ride altering the story from what it could have been if you had chosen the other track.

The only Bugs are the following that I wrote below, and I still had a few solutions

1.How will the riders get to choose what direction their going?

Simple they vote unaimously on these rides which are interactive.

2.What would the story be?

It could be anything that Disney has rights to, I'm actually letting Passporters submit their own ideas on this one.

This is a Poll to get majority opinions

Sounds sorta like the build your coaster and then ride it in a simulator at Disney Quest. It was great fun. But takes a long time, prob. not practical in the parks.

Sign me up!

I coasters and it would be interesting to try! I too did the DQ one and it was a lot of fun!

Storyline...
Just off the top of my head--
I would love to visit all of the Disney parks, but that's not in any distant future! How about a Dpark program that the roller coaster would show me glimpses of each park? Go up an incline, coming down there's Hong Kong DL...around the bend and DL Paris....

What can I say?

Not something that would work for either of us, as we're not good with coasters. I'd personally like to see more family rides for those of us who aren't thrill riders.

It can be both a thrill ride and a family ride. This kind of ride can range in different levels from laid back family ride to intense thrill ride. So this kind of ride that can be created in many different ways.

I'd definitely give it a shot but I don't think it's a practical idea for a park. It couldn't be too intense - remember EE is a wild thrill ride by Disney standards

Interesting idea...perhaps in EPCOT? An around the world kind of thing, or journey through time...something in line with and that enhances the educational aspect of EPCOT and that plays into what is already there.

You might want to check out the eMotion Theaters from The Ride Works to see motion simulator rides that do interactive storytelling -- they allow riders to choose their adventure while they are in it.

I voted no, but not for the reason you listed, more because I do not like motion simulator rides. They make me sick (for real...)

But I do think it is a creative ride and would fit in well at EPCOT as another poster mentioned.

Well its a coaster with a motion simulator backdrop. Its also a Disney story that you get to choose the outcome many times by choosing one of multiple tracks. Then you don't choose your own adventure you just choose the outcome of the adventure already written by the imagineer's. The story is already on the ride you just choose the outcome.

It in no way bears any similarity to other Disney Ideas or the eMotion Theaters idea that you stated. They may be related in some way like many rides are. Though instead of it being a virtual motion simulator Its a coaster track with a digital backdrop with lifelike characters and backgrounds that make you feel like your actually in their world.

Then you then choose the outcome of the story through in a interactive setting of choosing certain ride tracks.

Just remember its not a motion simulator per say. Its a coaster track with a lifelike digital backdrop.
