New Annual Pass Renewal rules

Effective Sunday August 2, 2009 there is a change in policy concerning renewal of certain Walt Disney World Annual Passes. This change applies to Tourist Premium Annual Pass, Tourist Annual Pass, Florida Resident Premium Annual Pass, Florida Resident Annual Pass, and Florida Resident Seasonal Pass. This change specifically does not apply to Epcot After 4:00 Annual Pass, Water Parks Annual Pass, or Disney Quest Annual Pass.
Renewals within 30 days before or after the expiration date will receive an additional three months and will be valid for 15 months from the expiration date of the current pass. Renewal Exchange Vouchers sold prior to August 2, 2009 may be redeemed with this offer provided the renewal is occurring August 2, 2009 or later.

I like that change and it fits in perfectly with our 2011 & 2012 vacations! (Hopefully it will still be in effect then....)

Great change. The best though was when the AP didn't begin until you actually used the pass at WDW!!!

This is great! My renewal date is coming up but I don't have the funds to pay it until a week later. With this, I have 30 days to renew and get three months free!

This is a load off my shoulders! With rent due, my package due and my annual pass due all the same week, funds were getting low.

Now I can wait on my AP!

Ok, now I have a question: If you renew your pass 29 days after it expired, do you lose a month, or does the pass become effective the day you buy it?

ex. Pass expires Jan. 10. You renew Feb 8. Is the pass good from 15 months after Jan 10, or Feb 8?
