It is always sad to hear of something like this happening. My condolences to the family.

what the public needs to understand is that incidents like this have occurred more than they think, im almost sure of it. what is happening nowadays is the media is exploiting it. there is a lot that happens in the real world that the public has no idea of.
For example, military weapons (i.e. fully automatic rifles, grenades, military body armor) has always been confiscated by Law Enforcement along the border cities. we would catch it coming in from Mexico. just recently, the media began making a big story of it, even though it has always been a problem. (one can shop around and get U.S. grenades for $50.00 down here, supplied to Mexico by the U.S.)
The drug flow...that will never stop, but the media has begun exploiting the violence and danger that exists along the borders as if it were something new.

but the media is out there to make money, and it seems as if WDW has become careless and dangerous, when in reality, the danger has always been there. it will always be there. in our everyday lives, the danger is always present. walking across the street. mowing our lawns. swimming. why do we not hear more and more about those that are killed in situations like that.

sorry, i had to vent. the media is a double edged sword. it can praise you and put you in the spotlight for the best; or they can make you seem like the worst place or person and put you in the spotlight for the worst.
