| The construction near Ft. Wilderness is the Four Seasons Resort that's being constructed on the site of the former golf course. Here's a thread with some discussion about it for more info: What's up near Ft. Wildreness? Where exactly was the tent in World Showcase?

| There is, or used to be, a large tent in World Showcase between Canada and United Kingdom, mainly it stretches behind the UK. It was put in as part of the Millenium Celebration in 1999-2000. After that celebration was over, it was used for special events. Can't remember if it is still there or if they have removed it.

| The crane is for the Christmas lights on the castle. From what I heard but didn't see they were testing them out around 12:30am to 1:30am last night.

| Does anyone know if they will ever re-open the water park located next to Ft. Wilderness?

| It's extremely unlikely. At this point, the cost of re-opening alone would probably be prohibitive - it's gone years without maintenance, and many parts of the facility needed rehab even before they closed it. The small size and difficulty of access was always a problem (no adjacent parking lot, for example), and everyone wants heated, sparkling clean water (and the main pool at River Country used natural lake water). The "state of the art" for water parks has also dramatically passed it by. Were it to re-open, it'd need far more attractions than it ever had. As long as such a major investment is needed, they'd probably be better off starting from scratch, in a more accessible location. Some folks hoped that it would be reopened as a facility for Ft. Wilderness guests, but the cost of operation would have been way too high for a resort-only facility.
