Will you find your Disney trips harder to manage with more Parks?

Lets face it most people cant afford more than a weeks stay at Disney every couple of years and they want something that rare to be worth the visit meaning get everything you possibly want to do. Which is pretty much most everything. Point is that if Disney continues to expand with more parks it would be harder for visitors to manage their vacations around seeing all of everything.

It is no rumor that Disney will someday have plans to build more parks that is how they want their monopoly to grow regardless of when its going to happen. Though can you imagine I stayed at Disney for the week last month. I got all I wanted done with my family minutes before we had to go back to the airport and this was a 6 day 5 night stay.

So my point is if Disney added more would you want longer stay discounts, or just prefer Disney's current size.

This poll is a bit leading. I could manage as many theme parks as Disney decides to put at WDW - and love it. I don't understand why people get mad when someone suggests a new theme park there. Some people don't like the same parks over and over - year after year - they want a change of experiences. I've read posts from international tourists who spend 2 week vacations only at WDW. They complain that there is not enough to do, and would love new parks. This demographic is reason enough for Disney to start on a new park, it's not only about the American audience. Plus, with Blackstone allegedly in final talks to acquire the Busch parks, (Blackstone co-owns Universal Orlando, as well as other parks), Disney should be thinking about plussing their game. With the Busch parks, Universal will have access to 2 or 3 additional parks. Disney's goal is to keep people on property for their whole visit, adding more parks could help achieve this goal.

I'm sorry, but neither of those options express my feelings about the possibility of more parks, so I haven't voted.

I wouldn't mind seeing another one - and although you say "most people can't afford more than a week's stay at Disney every couple of years", I think that's a moot point here! You look at how many people head down to WDW more than once a year out of our membership and as for us Brits, I wouldn't go for less than a fortnight, because of the time it takes to get there.

I think you're asking the wrong set of people and giving the wrong set of options. My answer would be I'd like to see another park, but probably when the economy is better - I wouldn't like to see Disney shelling out money at a time like this - and I'd like to see a WDW version of Tokyo DisneySea. That would be amazing.

I'm kind of in two minds about this. I love Disney as it is and they are always plussing things. For me there is always something new to see and I love my old favorites. However, another park, if done right, could add a lot to the place as well. I voted just don't do it, but that is just for now. With the economy the way it is I would rather they focus on what they have now and keeping it in wonderful Disney condition, than to see them do a park half up and not truly meeting the standards Walt would have wished.

I disagree that people get mad about a new park, etc...I think they just like to debate and suppose. It is good to have dissension...fall over "sheeple" that buy everything thrown at them are not good for business. As for people who find they are bored at Disney and complain, there are other places for them to go, they do not have to go to Disney.

There needs to be more options for this poll. I also couldn't vote because neither option applies. I think having more options means more choices and that is all good...but I haven't heard of any plans for a new park coming soon. Personally we have to visit MK and Epcot, but Hollywood Studios and DAK are optional for us so having another option wouldn't necessarily impact the length of our trip. (And I'm sure that adding another park would only cost more, not less when it comes to ticket prices).

I think I could gobble up everything that Disney has to offer -- and, in fact, I do... several times a year. My husband, however, gets his fill of Disney with a trip once every 5 years or so.

I definitely think this is a "to each his own" type of thing.

I could not vote, I too agree there are not too many choices in the poll.
I do like Disney keeping with the classics and adding new things.

I agree most on here are die hard enough to miss a few meals a week in order to do Disney yearly (JJ). We are fortunate enough to be one of them and never go for less than 8 full days in the parks. I would happily see and additional park in WDW.

We would happily visit another Disney park but are just as happy to see Disney refresh and add to existing parks. We do not support further discounting as this makes the value season overcrowded. (I know that's what disney wanted but not me!) I didn't vote as my choice wasn't an option listed.

I'd love more parks even if it meant staying longer and more time between trips. With all Disney has to offer the options could be endless. I'd love to see Disney grow as I grow older.

I didn't vote either. I don't go to Disney because of the discounts. Yes, I've been able to take advantage of a couple (free dining in 06 and 7 for 4 this year) but I don't count on them and offering more wouldn't get me to go to Disney more often.

As for parks. I wouldn't mind a Disney equivalent to Sea World. I'd love to take Abby, but like most everything else, it all comes down to money. I can't see shelling out almost $200 for one day at Sea World on top of what I'm already spending at Disney when I can get several extra days at Disney for far, far less than that.

With this comment here I wasnt essentially talking about the passporter community, I was reffering to the general public. Most of my friends cant afford to go to Disney more than once every three or four years this bad economy putting more emphasis on that.

Though most people especially in this bad economy and even before this economic mess began have had to and have to tackle several other expenses before dealing with Disney, most families visit Disney once every few years or sometimes only a few times in a lifetime.

Some users here have people in high places or other connections that enable them to visit Disney much more often.

Thats not a bad thing that some of you have all these advantages, I just know that there is a majority of people that cant share the experiences we had.

I can see where you're coming from - but is it that people can't afford to visit Disney or (shock horror! ) outside of the devoted fans like us, they don't want to? I suspect it's probably more the latter, with people choosing to go to different destinations. After all, the world is a huge place. As to whether adding more parks would make those people more likely to come back to sooner, it's possible... but then again, once they've seen a new park, again, that could be it for a few more years. Not a great return on investment...
