Has anyone heard anything new about the opening date? I thought the last thing we heard was some time in November...But last week on TTA we saw a sign inside that said Opening Winter 2009. They also seemed to be doing alot to the outside areas, there were pipes exposed and just alot of construction all around.

Any new info out there?

The only dates I've found are November 21 or 22 for re-opening. Maybe someone else has some more current info to share?

Im glad it will be open again whenever we go back, I missed it this time, and have only done the one in DLR and keep seeing references to teh differences between the two.

Unless there has been some serious issue they have to deal with, I think they are on track for the pre-Thanksgiving opening.

For those who've gone through Space Mountain on the TTA since it re-opened, what's it look like inside right now?

Here is a video of it Eileen. It's very strange to go through. Like a ghost yard and construction zone...All the lights on and nothing at all to look at. It's just so weird! Also notice the Winter 2009 sign, at about 4:57 through this video:

We missed Space MTN this yr

. Seeing all the construction just made me more anxious to go back. Since right after we rode the TTA, Nick proposed to me in front of the castle, we r planning our Honeymoon for sometime in 2011.

You really can't see anything except the tracks going up when the TTA enters. Everything else is blocked off by black plywood barriers. I was hoping to actually see something!

That YouTube video posted above was exactly what we saw when we were there last week.

Thanks for the link! I'll watch that video when I get home -- I don't have speakers here and I'd want to hear the TTA.

As for "Winter 2009" -- isn't that technically sometime in either November or December? Winter 2010 would be after that. I'd be worried that they weren't on schedule if the sign said Winter 2010 because, then, it could be several months yet.

Since Disney likes to manage expectations, I'd think they'd've announced something by this point if it were at all delayed.

It was weird going through there a few weeks ago. All the lights were on and we could see all the tracks, and straight up to the ceiling. There still seemed to be a lot of construction going on both inside and outside of the building.

As was already mentioned, there is a sign that states it will not open until winter of 2009. I wonder if the November date is for a soft opening?
When we went through it on the TTA, the lights were on, but I saw no activity.

We arrive 30 NOV 09 so I'm hoping that's "winter enough" to mean Space Mountain will be open!!!!
