| A meaner Mickey? An interesting article in the NY Times about Disney's plans to revamp Mickey Mouse...not sure how I feel about it. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/05/bu...y.html?_r=1&hp

| I think that everyone should go back and look at some of the older Mickey cartoons . . . Mickey was never really the image that the Disney Park version portrays. He was the kind of guy who snuck in behind his boss and did exactly what he had been told NOT to do! He got in lots of trouble! I kind of like the idea of giving Mickey back his personality!

| historically Mickey was a bit of a terror... and he does have a temper... the older Mickey/Pluto cartoons especially show a lot of "unlove" towards the pooch... (but what dog owner doesn't lose their temper once in a while with their four legged pal)

| I hope they keep him the same lovable character he is now, in the parks that is. The game I don't care about.

| I don't think he was mean, I think he was mischievous. There's a big difference.

| I think they are very smart! For those of us who want to think of him as loveable and sweet, there is still that image, and this game can be just that...but for those who want to investigate the other side it will do that too! They are trying to appeal to a wider audience, and I think they are probably going exactly the right way!

Well said. I have a feeling its only going to be in the game and maybe some merchandise . They may have an "evil" Mickey during the MNSSHP.

| Outside of the game, the stated strategy of bringing Mickey back somewhat to his origins in terms of personality is, I think, a good one. I certainly look forward to a more more interesting character that they can then use in stories made for both children and adults again.
