Re: Star Tours Update?? Rumors have been circulating for many years, based on the notion that the ride can be reprogrammed and a different film can be shown. There have been reports that it would "definitely happen this time," every time a new Star Wars film has been in the works. The only thing that has actually changed with each new film is the selection of merchandise in Tatooine Traders. ![]()

Re: Star Tours Update?? I don't know if I would like a rehab so much. I mean, Star Tours without the "Trench" scene . . . that's my favorite part!!! If it was updated to a new movie, that would go away! ![]() I am figuring if it ain't been done for the last 2 movies, it ain't gonna get done for the 3rd!

Re: Star Tours Update?? I'm with Dave; every "definite" update over the years has turned out to be nthing but hot air. However, the fact that George Lucas mentioned ST in his speach did give me pause this time. Maybe once EIII is out and George has some time do devote to other projects, his attention might turn to ST and an update might finally happen. But I'm not holding my breath!

Re: Star Tours Update?? [ QUOTE ] George Lucas was interviewed last weekend at Star Wars Celebration III in Indianapolis, and he mentioned that there is an update in the works for Star Tours. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, but he's at least hinted the same thing for the past three film releases. He may actually draw up proposed story lines, a preliminary feasibility study may be done, but somewhere along the line, it's always sidetracked. I can imagine someone at Disney saying, "Cool, George! Are you going to pay for it?"
