| This lifetime pass had me intriqued, so I did some research. I checked the Disney Visa cardholders reward site - nothing. So I called Disney Visa member services and asked if such a thing was offered to Disney Visa cardholders. I was told no. I checked the WDW site - nothing. I called WDW ticketing and was told that a lifetime pass is something that was only offered to long time employees of Disney with 10-15 years of service. And she wasn't sure if it was still offered. I also called Walt Disney Travel Co. and asked if a lifetime pass was available. The agent I spoke with did a search on their system and found nothing. Honestly, with nearly 20,000 members on this site alone for 8 years, somebody would have heard of this lifetime pass and shared the info. Not to mention the countless other Disney message boards that a lot of us visit from time to time. As much as I'd love for a lifetime pass to be available, I just don't think it is!

| The thing that really "seals the deal" for me is that he claims they were able to transfer it to someone else to use for a day. Disney does not allow anyone to share ticket media. What I'm wondering now is if they used their points to purchase a whole mess of tickets that they are giving to people who come to visit them. Ya know, they bought some AP vouchers for themselves and a few 1- or 2-day tickets to give to guests of theirs. The Lifetime Passes that were sold 36 years ago were kept very limited and they are *not* transferable. My husband spoke to someone who actually had one that her parents bought when she was a child and she told him how rare they were. Eileen

| Well if it turns out to be true, I am sure someone here will share the news. OK, where's the queue (I'm on it)?

| As Far As I Know My uncle was an imagineer working on the Florida Project, and I'm pretty sure he got lifetime passes for him, his wife and their two kids. However, I know only they could use them AND when Epcot opened, the passes could not be used there. Disney usually excludes existing passes from granting admission to future parks, for example if I purchased 7-day no-exp tickets today, and Disney builds their fifth gate, I would have to pay to upgrade my pass. They did that when MGM opened and when AK opened. In fact the first year AK opened, I had some old tix with days still on them. We could use them at MK, Epcot and MGM, but not AK. I think the reality is this, Disney doesn't give perpetual, transferable passes to anyone (maybe Walt's family). I know when my aunt and uncle died their passes expired with them. I think my cousins still use theirs...but only for MK.

| This guy is giving you incorrect information. Caldercup has explained it well. It sounds to me as if they have just purchased enough AP's to add up to a "lifetime" of Disney admittances. He doesn't know what a lifetime pass is, and he's not giving you complete information either.

| I'm starting to think either he's messing with me or his family is messing with him and he just doesn't realize it. He goes down to Orlando at least once a year to stay with his aunt and uncle. He's excited because he thinks he won't have to pay for a place to stay OR for his park admission. I'll be curious to hear how his trip goes this year. They usually go around August so I'll just have to be patient until then I suppose.

| In the late 80's or early 90's I was offered lifetime passes it might have been tied to the Disney stores or the Magic Kingdom Club but I don't remember. I think they were about $2000 each non transferable. If I knew how many times we would go I would have taken out a loan to buy 4 Glen |

| I knew Anita would have the answer, even though its from 06, did a search on allears. Melissa writes: A fellow employee keeps insisting that Disney offers a lifetime theme park admissions ticket for just dollars more than a 10-day pass or even a yearly pass. Is this so? Do you know anything about this? Thanks.Hi Melissa! Walt Disney World has never offered a lifetime pass for sale to the general public. If it had, I'd own one! I think your co-worker is confusing Annual Passports with lifetime passes. A standard Annual Passport with one year's admission and park hopping privileges currently costs $441.98. A 10-day Magic Your Way ticket with the park hopping and "no expiration" options is $410.03. |
