I can't remember where I read this . . .

But I know I read it somewhere. Has anyone else read that you can have a real party on the pirate ship in POTC? If so, was it to be privately booked or do they have scheduled parties that anyone can go to? And where can I find out more? Thanks anyone for info. Bigred

I was under the impression that it was on a commercial at the movie theater for Verizon Wireless - Party on the Pearl. You had to text something...and I think you had to have Verizon Wireless to get it too. And you have to win in order to get to party on the pearl. Here's some information: Verizon Wireless Launches Limbo Auction in Celebration of Disney's Latest Release in the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy With Treasures Worth More Than $100,000

The only other thing that I you may be thinking of is that...doesn't the Disney Cruise Line stop in Castaway Cay, with a replica of the Black Pearl there?

There is a boat from one of the POTC movies at Castaway Cay unfortunately I can't remember which one at the moment. At this time I don't think disney is allowing guests on board that boat.

But the contest linked above sounds right about what i had heard about partying on a Movie Boat.

Good luck to those that can enter!

Yeah, that Verizon contest sounds about right. The "Black Pearl" that they used for the 2nd and 3rd movies used to be moored in a marina in the L.A. area, so since that is where the "party" is supposed to happen, that kind of makes sense, I guess.

The Flying Dutchman is anchored at Castaway Cay.

and you can't touch the flying dutchman, let alone go on it. i know someone will disagree with me but i've heard the flying dutchman isn't in the best of shape nowadays.

the black pearl definitely makes the rounds though. i have no clue where she is at the moment though.
