I don't know how likely it will happen. When I took a survey a couple of years ago, they posed the same question. I wonder if the survey is still the same one

I thought I might have posted about it, so I just searched for the thread :

I totally agree. I would probably check it out for curiosity sake, but with all those out there who love to bash Disney, I won't stay long.

I took the survey a couple days ago and was surprised that this was the topic. I have to say though that I felt kind of excited. PP is my favorite of the Disney Boards out there and I think the people on these Boards are by far the nicest, but I would have to take a look at Disney's Boards if it came to be.

I took the survey last week too.

It will be very interesting to see if they incorporate any of the things they asked about into a site.

Personally I think it's a fantastic idea on many levels. First and foremost, I have always thought it sad that nowhere on the official Disney site could you get unbiased opinions from other guests on their experiences. Making this a reality will certainly make Disney look less like a "everything is always perfect with our company" entity and more like a corporation that is open to guest feedback. I'm also pretty sure that Disney will come up with some fairly stringent rules regarding posting on their boards to ensure that all posters are treated fairly and politely. It will also give Disney the chance to correct any posts that have completely incorrect information in them with a little sort of "editor's note" following the post. I really hope this survey leads to the Disney message boards becoming a reality.

It definitely will be interesting to see what develops from this. I would have to check out as many others have mentioned at least from curiosity.

If it's more along the lines of a networking community I think I would really love it! But I also have questions about the message boards and what would or wouldn't be edited. I think I'll head to their site though to see if the survey pops up and what kind of questions they're asking.

Dyan, the recent survey is different than the one you posted about in that earlier thread. It's more along the lines of message boards, blogs, etc.

Sorry I missed this before Dyan. It seemed like it would be geared more towards a message board, and along the lines of what Rob mentioned...a networking community.

I'd check it out, but PP will always be my home. I would love to see how they would handle complaints on the site, and how they'd moderate it. It's Disney, so I'm sure people will flock to it.

I heard on a couple of podcasts this weekend that Disney is putting together a group of 12 moms to assist with reservations and questions on planning vacations. They said to apply to the group that you need to go to disneyworldmoms.com and answer a few essay questions to try to get picked for the panel. I think they should have just looked at all the wonderful people that have written travel planning books already, i.e. Jennifer and Dave, and ask them to assist. Would make a lot of sense!
