It does sound like a foreign language, doesn't it? It is all explained in the "Welcome" forum under PassPorter Community - Message Boards and Forums - FAQ: Reading and Posting Messages under "Shorthands and Acronyms". I resorted to copying the list, pasting it into Word, then printing the list! And don't worry, after a while it actually begins to make sense

The answer for the three you asked about: DH = dear/dearest/darling husband; DD = dear/dearest daughter; and DS = dear/dearest son.

And another "helpful hint" - make a smiley list, too! The easiest thing to do when you want a smiley in your post is to type it in. I did the "find the smiley in the list and click on it" for a couple of months before I decided I'd try typing. It is MUCH easier!

Welcome to the boards. Glad to have you

dh is darling or dear husband, ds is son, dd is daughter, etc
For a list of the most common shorthands, scroll up to the top of the page, and click where it says shorthands. Hope this helps!

WOW! I always thought they meant Disney Husband/Daughter/Son. Not darling/dear. Learn something new every day.

I don't usually use DW, I simply call her "Warden".

DD, DS, etc. is an internet term and not just used on Disney sites. But if you want to use it as Disney Daughter, Disney son, etc., I think that's ok too!

I can think of lots of substitutions for the "dear". Darn daughter, Dang son, dumb brother, better stop there!
